Description
Panda is black and white mutt of some kind. She is spayed,23 understands basic and advanced commands,45 and displays a high level of intelligence.6 Although her original dog tag has since rusted beyond recognition,7 M.E.G personnel have made her a new one out of scraps of metal recovered from other Levels.
She was originally found wearing a service dog vest, which has since been removed.8 No owner has stepped forward in her time with M.E.G; approximately 3 years, which has led many to believe her owner either died in one of the more dangerous Levels after accidentally noclipping into the backrooms, or she noclipped into the backrooms alone.91011
Due to the dangers posed in bringing a dog alongside one into other Levels of the Backrooms, Panda mostly stays in M.E.G. Base Alpha or the Base in Level 726, but can sometimes be found in Base Omega on Level 11.121314
Properties
Despite not displaying any outwardly obvious special abilities1516 aside from a higher than average canine intellect and service dog training, Panda has been found to possess calming properties. This is especially evident with M.E.G members returning from explorations in more dangerous Levels who are more likely to have witnessed traumatizing events.17
When she senses an individual in an agitated state, Panda will typically approach them and attempt to place her paw on their body, or nudge them with her snout.18 If said individual is sitting or otherwise within range, Panda will instead lick them. This has been found to be a largely positive experience, even in individuals who are not fond of dogs.19
Based on what we have seen from Panda's responses to people in a state of distress, she is a PTSD-trained Service Dog.
Discovery
Panda was initially found by M.E.G. in Level 726,20 where she was eating food from a bowl.21 A journal found in the level is believed to belong to her owner. As previously mentioned, the fate of their old owner remains a mystery.

All that is known of their original owner is that they sign off their journal with their initials and appear to be actively looking for Panda.2324
Behaviors
Panda is known for enjoying the presence of humans, especially when they give her treats.
Because of the food and water that constantly replenishes for her on Level 726,2526 she does not typically consume Almond Water or other foodstuffs scavenged in the Backrooms. When she needs to pee or poop,27 she usually wanders out of Base Alpha and towards Level 39, where she will handle her business like a good girl.
Once done, she will either head back towards Level 726, 11, or 1, usually favoring 726.
Testimony
I was stuck in what I learned is Level 6 for four days after no-clipping in here for the first time, going nuts from the vast nothing and lack of food and water. I thought I was going to die there.
After stumbling my way out of that hellhole, I was picked up by M.E.G. and brought to the base on Level 1, where I met her. She came to me and sat by my side, pressing her snout under my hand to force me to stroke her. She licked my hand. I'm more of a cat person, but even I felt better. And then I heard her story.
If a dog of all things can adjust to life here in the Backrooms, then I definitely can as well.
Everything is going to be okay.
