Description
A Binocular.
In terms of appearance, Binoculars are near identical to their Frontrooms counterparts. The left and right barrels of the object are engraved with the B.H.A.A. group icon and the B.H.A.A. number corresponding to the Binoculars' owner.
Binoculars already began production on the 7th of July, 2022 by the B.H.A.A. However, only small quantities were produced, and those were restricted only to B.H.A.A. members.
Functions
One of the uses of Binoculars is to act as an identity card of any B.H.A.A. member. Every encrypted document by the B.H.A.A. is able to be decrypted using a pair of Binoculars. B.H.A.A. members are able to identify other members by using the object to check if others possess Binoculars as well. If a person possesses the object, a green light will be flashed from it, indicating that person is a B.H.A.A. member.
Another use for Binoculars is to function as a portable observatory, allowing users to be able to use it to observe the constellations of Level C-337, without having to use the observatory. Additionally, this object be used to observe stars or skyscrapers in other levels with tall buildings or a night sky. This allows users to be able to locate B.H.A.A. bases in Level 11 and Level C-337.
Binoculars are also able to be used against entities sensitive to eye contact, such as Smilers. Using the object to observe these entities will daze them for a period of time. While the initial effectiveness of the object against Smilers was inferior to that of Smiler Repellent, the latter soon became completely ineffective against them; thus, it became the main method of defeating Smilers for B.H.A.A. members.
One last use of Binoculars is that their effects are only activated by their "owner". Thus, this object has become the best method to identify their "owner".
Materials
The lenses of the Binoculars are made of a special crystal that is extremely rare to find, with the only sources being from Level 11, where a few shards of it were found. Researchers of the B.H.A.A. have discovered special properties from this type of crystal and produced a batch of Binoculars, passing them out to B.H.A.A. members. But they found out that the total quantity of the crystals was not enough to produce a single pair of Binoculars for every wanderer in the Backrooms. Currently, the M.E.G. is searching Level 11 as well as other levels for the crystal, hoping that, soon, mass production of Binoculars can be achieved.
