Cold Resin found in a bottle
Description:
Cold Resin in its basic form is a substance with a consistency similar to tree resin. Regardless of the environment and circumstances, the object consistently maintains a temperature of -4°C. Cold Resin is stored in fuel canisters, thermoses, and bottles.
Cold Resin can be identified by the water that condensates on the surface of the container due to the temperature difference. However, this depends on the ambient temperature. When it is cold in the level, Cold Resin can only be recognized by its color. Cold Resin is divided into three types:
- Cold Resin.
- Cold Almond Resin.
- Cold Solid Resin.
Properties:
- Cold Resin in its basic form is sticky and gray in color. Drinking Cold Resin in this form in large quantities will result in the drinker's death due to hypothermia. Some organizations use certain methods to transform it into a coolant. The smell of Cold Resin discourages Deathmoths from attacking.
- Cold Almond Resin is similar to its raw counterpart but is safe to consume in large quantities. One property of the object is its ability to heal burns. Pouring the resin on a burn will cause a brief but intense pain that will end with the healing of the burn. Only 1st and 2nd degree burns can be healed. For 3rd and 4th degrees, they are too severe to be healed using the object. The substance itself is formed by adding Cold Resin to boiling Almond Water. The process of mixing both substances takes about 1 hour, during which it takes on a light blue color.
- Cold Solid Resin is formed as a result of raw Cold Resin being left outside of a container. It then takes on a solid state but does not lose its cooling ability. It can then be used as a lifebuoy in hot areas of the Backrooms, as its cooling properties anomalously spread throughout the body upon physical contact.
Examples Uses for Object PL-10
- Treatment of burns.
- Cold Almond Resin is used by the Interdimensional Travel Bureau as an additive to drinks.
- Cold Almond Resin helps in fighting Entity PL-16.
- From the permanent Solid Cold Resin, ammunition can be created that is effective against warm entities.
Discovery
The object was discovered when members of The Collective of Polish Backrooms Scientists were searching the residence of the Harbinger of Wrath in Level PL-65. They found a chest with supplies, which contained Cold Almond Resin in a bottle. The Committee received a few bottles of Almond Cold Resin during one of the exchanges with the Collective at Level PL-17.
Sources of Cold Resin:
The best way to obtain Cold Resin is from Level PL-65, where it can be found in chests in prison storage areas. In Level PL-17, it can be found in shopping carts. It can also appear in random locations throughout the Backrooms. The reason for this is unknown to the Committee, but it is suspected that K.P.N.B. may have information on this matter.
