It is important to note that this article has been heavily modified by forces outside of the Main Extended Organisation Database’s domain, and will remain such despite pushback from the archival and writing divisions. Given the innocuous and somewhat educational nature of the edits that simply give otherwise needless information about this level's exhibits, it has been decided that these edits shall stay. Although they are not a threat to one’s safety, ensure to use an element of common sense when reading to know what is and what is not officially approved M.E.O.D transcript.
Despite recent occurances, The M.E.O.D. holds the data of its residents with upmost care, even in spite of data breaches which have recently occured. Internal changes in management are currently being enacted to ensure the conversations, written documents, and private messages are not kept long-term within The M.E.O.D's immediate archives, and are instead deleted after the appropriate time has passed. We greatly apologise for the recent events, and are doing all we can to keep the family of The M.E.O.D. whole during these trying times.

Description

A Precedent Class locomotive, specifically number 790 "Hardwicke" in original LNWR black.
Level 608 is an indoor level comprised of several large brick, prefab, and corrugated metal locomotive roundhouses and general locomotive sheds. These spaces are connected either directly to one another by large doors, or by hallways which contain commercial utilities such as unisex toilets, restaurant spaces, or shelves of model locomotives by a variety of leading manufacturers in the Frontrooms.1
Each of the rooms in Level 608 contain a myriad of tracks, most of which are standard gauge.2 Depending on if it is a roundhouse or shed, the tracks will either be built around a central turntable or built in organised rows parallel to the longest wall. Along all of these tracks are countless locomotives, trams, rolling stock, small train consists, DMU’s, DEMU’s, EMU’s, and other categories of railway stock that fit on two rails.3 Most of the example stock are specifically of British origin, with examples of locomotives across the former British Commonwealth. Most items from the collection come from between the second and ninth railway eras, although outliers do exist in the form of a handful of era 1 coaching stock and a few 2030's era EMU's.

Gladstone, one of 36 LB&SCR B1 Classes of steam locomotive introduced in 1895.
These various trains and locomotives are all in a completely static state. Not only are they not in steam, not fuelled, or have dead batteries, but they are also completely unable to move by more supernatural means. Any attempt to move a display piece, even something as small as a Wickam Trolley, will result in it feeling incredibly heavy, and therefore immovable. Some of these locomotives even get "opening days" where new exhibits are adorned with balloons or period accurate crests on their first day of entering the level. This is most frequently done for locomotives and consists which have a level of fame or historical importance in the Frontrooms, the most recent of which being the British Rail Battle of Britain 34051 "Winston Churchill".
It is known that Level 608 originally did not contain any locomotives until at least 1829, which is the date in which the Stephenson's Rocket, one of the original pioneering locomotives, was built. The level, in its old state, was much harder to exit and far more non-Euclidean, as well as being built out of just brick and wood rather than its wider variety of modern day materials. Although elements of the Euclidean nature still persist in the modern day, these lapses in third dimensional space are appropriately signposted to avoid confusion. As well as this, many of these signposts—and some randomly found kiosks—provide physical and digital maps which are multi-layered to help navigate the sometimes obscure layout.

Although undoubtedly large, Level 608's atriums are far from infinite. They take up a space of 23 miles across and 28 miles long, and are surrounded by several more miles of storage rooms and workshops for restorations. Whilst many of the exhibits within this level were previously acquired in nearly pristine condition, certain more recent pieces are scarse or harder to source, and sometimes are instead delivered to Level 608 in scrap condition. As such, many units have to undergo intensive restoration, as well as the many inspections that the exhibits have to go under to ensure they stay in either cosmetic or operational condition. Although being repaired to operational status is the preferred, many exhibits are unfortunately not in this state, mainly due to age.
These spaces are differenciated mainly by their more industrial appearance, having noticealy high ceilings with gantries, cranes, and ceiling hooks. As well as this, these back spaces often showcase even more non-euclidean layouts, though this is seemingly so even more exhibits can be maintained. Various workstations, tools, and equipment of varying sizes can be found dotting the walls and floors of these back areas as well, adding to the general clutter. As they are not intended to be seen by the public eye, and are deliberately made restricted from the public exhibition spaces, there is far less regard for safety, and it is incredibly likely that one can trip or get injured on the various industrial parts and machines.

These industrial workspaces are spliced with much more neat and tidy storage rooms which house the various exhibits that are currently not on display, or any recently restored units. Though tidier than the workshop rooms in that they have less ground and wall clutter, these spaces are usually filled to the brim with museum pieces, and are usually stored with some level of categorisation in mind.4 Although they are never coupled together, these pieces are usually paired up buffer to buffer,5 making it extremely difficult to move between them. However, as these back areas are strictly out of bounds, this is never an issue for visitors.
Although most of the level is devoid of entities, some do travel from other levels into this one. These kinds of occurances, whilst uncommon, can serve as a risk to the visitors and exhibits in Level 608. As the level is not home to any unique entities, only Backrooms-wide species such as Smilers, Deathmoths, Hounds, Facelings, Skin-Stealers, and Wretches that find their way into the level can be found.6 However, the threats of these beings is dealt with by the owner of this level, Blake, who swiftly removes them from the premises.
Blake

Blake sat atop of a Highland Railway Jones Goods Class, specifically No. 103.
Blake is the somewhat anomalous entity that runs the entirety of Level 608. They, similar to the employees of the as-of-yet unamalgamated Backrooms Remodeling Co., are completely black in hue and lack any kind of details on their body besides white and emotive eyes and mouth, the latter of which is unique to them in comparison to the rest of his species. In the rare instances they are found wearing clothing [at all], it is usually related to railways. Blake is also a sexless individual with an androdynous looking figure, and whilst they frequently refer to themselves as "he", they are also more than willing to wear, present, and be referred to as things which are not traditionally masculine. Though this is usually done at themed events they run within the level, they have also been seen to dress in bygone attire from both genders, and have used both traditional binary pronouns in the past.
Though seemingly related to the employees of Backrooms Remodeling Co, their physical abilities differ from them somewhat. Not only do they have a mouth, but their entire body is incredibly fluid, able to bend and contort and take on the appearance of multiple different body types, which they usually uses to fit into specific period clothing. Their malleable form is also used for more trivial matters, such as reaching things from long distances or utilising multiple limbs to aid in restoration of their trains. Their form is so fluid, in fact, that it has brought into question what the "default" appearance is for most BRC employees, a query which has prompted the M.E.O.D. to begin formal discussion with the group.

Blake is a rather excitable character, if not somewhat introverted as well. Although they are quick to speak about their level in incredibly excessive detail, they oftentimes struggle with more basic communication or questioning. Most topics brought up to Blake usually loop back to their level, or more specifically their railway collection, something which is seemingly done to aid in their understanding and explanation of their views and opinions of what is being talked about. Their excitability when it comes to their knowledge also bleeds into various references to Level 608 online, as Blake has frequently been found making edits to pages that include hyper-specific details on their exhibits.7 Whilst opinions are mixed on these edits, recent discussions with Blake have permitted them to remain, especially on this page.
Despite them being tough to work with on a professional level, tourists to Level 608 speak highly of Blake and their general enthusiasm. Ever since Level 608 was listed as a destination in the vacation division's website, it has brought similar rail enthusiasts from across the Backrooms to behold these sights, which has seemingly brought great glee to Blake. It has brought them out of their shell a lot more, giving them the confidence to detail more about their behaviours and life.
Entrances And Exits
Entrances

An example of an empty shop that leads to Level 608 in Level 852.
Despite being a popular tourist attraction for many, Level 608 is unfortunately not connected to many majorly inhabited levels. Individuals travelling to Level 608 are urged to utilise Level 605 on their journey to cut travel times, or to follow dedicated travelling groups when on booked vacations.
One of the main entrances into Level 608 is from Level 26, and can be utilised by entering any large and industrial-looking garage doors that can appear in random rooms. Another similar door can also be found in Level 248, although this exit should not be used in travel groups due to the isolating nature of the level in question.
Another entrance is found in Level 255 by noclipping through the walls of any large, empty rooms within the factory. The same is also applicable for large empty rooms in Level 852, Level 853, and Level 979.
Exits

Under the laws put over any level classified as a holiday destination, all level exits that are known about are signposted accordingly, coupled with scannable QR codes to give visitors directions to a handful of populated levels. Unfortunately, much like its entrances, Level 608 does not directly connect to any major cities or towns.
Entering any open shed berths which have a bright white light emanating from them will lead to Level 566 or Level 797 depending on the opening's corresponding signpost. Any smaller glowing exit, such as an open doorway or archway, can lead to Level 153, Level 284, or Level 699.
The level's other remaining exits, being exits to Level 374 and Level 402, are both accessible by utilising signposted doors that otherwise do not stand out within the level itself. Other exits may exist, but an appropriate amount have been found to comply with the vacation division.
