SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY:
Class 4
- {$one}
- Unstable Topography
- {$three}
Level 41-ID is the 42nd level of Backrooms Indonesia. This level is a half-finished building.
Description
Level 41-ID.
Level 41-ID manifests as a building under perpetual construction, characterized by unpainted concrete walls. In several sections, the walls lack cement plastering, leaving the brickwork and rebar (concrete reinforcement bars) exposed. The flooring remains similarly unfinished, with many areas appearing damaged or incomplete; survivors may even encounter patches of wet cement. Vertical steel frames are installed throughout large chambers, resembling skeletal pillars.
The Level is illuminated by a mix of hanging lamps and industrial spotlights. Exposed piping protrudes from the corridor perimeters and ceilings. Windows are present intermittently, though they offer views only into adjacent rooms within the same Level.
This Level consists of three distinct zones:
Construction Zone
The most prevalent area within the Level. Stacks of cement bags and concrete mixers clutter the corridors and rooms, while wooden planks and rebar are strewn across the floor. Survivors must exercise extreme caution in areas undergoing electrical installation, marked by stripped copper wiring on the floor. A single misstep will result in instant electrocution. While an electrical substation is hypothesized to exist, none have been located to date.
Resting Room
Fortunate survivors within the Construction Zone may discover a door labeled "Resting Room" (Ruang Istirahat). This small sanctuary contains a central table surrounded by chairs. Bottles of Almond Water and discarded safety gear—such as hard hats and high-visibility vests—are consistently found here, regardless of prior looting. This is the Level's safest point, as it remains unaffected by the "Renovation Event." However, conflict may arise if multiple groups attempt to occupy the space simultaneously. "Para Kuli (The Laborers)" are also known to frequent and scavenge this location.
Abandoned Zone
Structurally similar to the Construction Zone but characterized by the overgrowth of small flora on the walls and floors. Though rare, this zone contains noclip points that can be accessed by following paths heavily blanketed in moss. These exits invariably lead survivors toward urban-themed Levels.
Vandalism Zone
Resembles a construction site but is littered with graffiti and anomalous debris, such as rusted bicycles and dilapidated bedframes. The flooring is often covered in shards of broken glass, necessitating careful footing. Unlucky survivors may report sudden, localized explosions or the sound of shattering objects. A sharp spike in ambient temperature often precedes thick smoke accumulating along the ceiling. While the source of the combustion is rarely found, the combination of dense smoke and lethal temperatures makes survival in this zone nearly impossible.
Entity
Throughout the Level, particularly within the corridors, survivors must remain vigilant for hands emerging from concrete or cement-coated walls. Designated as "The Sacrifices" (Tumbal), these entities typically manifest as a single hand—either coated in or composed of cement—protruding from the surface as if interred within the wall. Some instances feature protruding heads, their faces permanently frozen in mid-scream.
They remain entirely immobile unless a survivor enters their reach. At that moment, they will violently drag the victim into the wall before the hand reverts to its initial dormant pose. New appendages frequently manifest in the vicinity shortly thereafter.
The probability of escape once caught is minimal; once a Sacrifice secures a grip, additional hands will emerge from the wall to assist in dragging the victim inward. The visibility of a single limb does not preclude the presence of additional entities embedded within the same structure. Fortunately, they appear incapable of changing their primary location.
Renovation Event
A few unfortunate survivors have documented being caught in the midst of a "Renovation Event." According to these accounts, the surrounding area begins to vibrate violently. If survivors fail to immediately evacuate to a zone where the tremors cease, the ceiling undergoes a sudden structural collapse, generating a dense, suffocating cloud of dust. The fate of those pinned beneath the debris remains unknown. Once the dust settles, survivors report that the previously traversed pathways have been completely reconfigured, rendering the area unrecognizable.
Survivors are mandated to maintain constant movement unless they can secure a sanctuary in a Break Room.
Outpost, Bases, and Communities
Para Kuli
On this Level, survivors may encounter individuals identifying themselves as "Para Kuli." They are a group of people who conceal their faces behind crude cement masks and actively capture other survivors to offer them to the nearest "Sacrifice" entity.
Their organizational structure and means of survival remain a mystery. However, it is documented that one faction will strip survivors of all belongings before handing them over, effectively acting as opportunistic raiders.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- If survivors encounter a doorless opening connected to a long, cement-lined corridor, it is highly likely they are being routed to this Level.
- Noclipping through wall surfaces carries a probability of transporting survivors to this Level.
- An unfinished structure within Level 8-ID has been sighted in the center of one of the roundabouts, serving as an entrance to this area.
Exits
- Should survivors locate a door, pray that it leads to a room on a different Level.
- An active television set may occasionally be found amidst the copper wiring in the electrical installation zones. Successfully leaping into the screen will transport survivors to Level 15-ID. Note: Contact with the television's chassis will result in immediate electrocution.
