Level 38-ID is a calming red school structure.


Description

Level 38-ID is a vacant school hallway designed in the Dutch Colonial architectural style. Each side of the hallway is lined with doors leading to classrooms. Inside the classrooms are many items such as tables, chairs, cabinets, and various electronic equipment. Signs of vandalism can sometimes be found etched into the tables, chairs, or walls. Electronic equipment other than the overhead lights is non-functional, leading many to dismantle and scavenge it for trade or other purposes. Some objects may be found within cabinets, though the probability of finding such items is exceedingly low.

The unique feature of Level 38-ID is its palpable reddish hue. The light emanates from the windows, suggesting the Level is perpetually locked in a state of morning or midday. Some survivors feel a sense of calm and warmth. Occasionally, survivors experience hallucinations. They are transported back to memories of their school days with their best friends, encompassing joyful activities, as well as difficult and oppressive moments.

Level 38-ID can be accessed through a tall door that has been marked as in Level 11-ID, Level 5-ID, Level 17-ID, and Level 20-ID.

Exits

  • It is possible that some doors may lead to levels with survival difficulty class of 0 — 2.
  • Continuing to walk may cause noclip to Level 3-ID, Level 10-ID, and Level 37-ID.
