Description
Level 308 consists of a desert and an oasis located at its center. This level has a normal day night cycle. But unlike normal deserts, even at night, the temperature in level 308 never changes. This results in the temperature of this level always staying at around thirty degrees Celsius. Due to the warm environment, and a special phenomenon found in Level 308, the water wanderers may be carrying will dissipate faster, and they may become thirsty more quickly. Because of this, wanderers need to carry sufficient water when crossing this level.

The oasis area is the main part of Level 308 and the first area that wanderers arrive at when they reach this level. This area is home to a diverse range of plants, which results in temperatures around five degrees Celsius lower than desert regions. At present, it can be confirmed that these plants are all from the Frontrooms, but they have evolved unique self-protection mechanisms to adapt to the high temperature and water shortage environment of Level 308. Their root systems become more developed1, their leaves degrade, and they have thicker stems to store water. Wanderers can obtain water from the stems of these plants for survival in the absence of water sources.
Beyond the oasis lies the vast desert of Level 308. This area is extremely hot, with surface temperatures reaching up to 65 degrees Celsius, so it is recommended for wanderers to leave this desert area as soon as possible. The terrain in this area is also quite monotonous, with only sand in sight and no rivers or lakes. This has resulted in the absence of a stable water source within Level 308. However, after multiple attempts to dig downwards, the M.E.G. discovered that soil moisture is directly proportional to its depth2. This seems to indicate the existence of an underground river deep below the ground. This also explains why plants in the oasis area have developed such deep root systems.
The weather in Level 308 is also uniform, with an average of 300 days a year being windless and sunny. This climate seems unfavorable for the growth of plants in Level 308, but on the few windy days, these plants rely on the wind to spread their seeds. Most seeds will die due to the harsh environment of Level 308, but there will always be a certain number of seeds that survive and grow into a complete plant. This has led to the gradual expansion of the oasis area in Level 308.
Additionally, there is no Wi-Fi signal anywhere at Level 308.

- Going deep enough into the desert at this level will take you to Level 169.
Supplementary Information
When Level 308 was first discovered, its internal environment was vastly different from what it is now (see this old version document for details). Based on the diary discovered at Level 308 at the time, we infer that the bag of seeds described in the diary sprouted due to the underground river at Level 308, which created the more habitable environment at that level. We are not yet sure how these seeds survived in the harsh environment of Level 308, but there is indeed no other reason to explain the environmental changes.
When those seeds fall into the desert,
their suffering begins.

depriving them of water and nutrients.
People say,
This is the forbidden zone of life,
where no life can escape the fate of death.
But the seeds have no choice.
They gradually root deeper to obtain more nutrients.
Perhaps most seeds will still die,

all of these scenes will be shocking.
There is an oasis standing,
like a gem set in that 'dead ground'!

I discovered a small ruin with plants growing on the walls at Level 46 and entered it, then I was transported to an unrecorded new level. I conducted a preliminary exploration here and wrote a document for this level. Now I am applying to input this document into the database.

Level 308 is a desert with unknown size and extreme water scarcity, similar to the typical tropical desert in the Frontrooms. This level has a normal day night cycle. The temperature in Level 308 remains at around 48 degrees Celsius, which puts wanderers at constant risk of heatstroke. And even at night, the temperature does not decrease. Therefore, the level stays at around the same temperature regardless of the time of day.
The most dangerous phenomenon of Level 308 is that the rate of water loss in this level will be abnormally accelerated. Within this level, even the most tightly sealed container cannot store water for a long time, and water in the human body also can dissipate slowly in unknown ways. It is currently unclear where the excess of water has dissipated to, as it does not rain in this level. Due to this phenomenon, incoming wanderers must leave Level 308 as soon as possible.

There are no known bases, outposts or communities.
Entrances And Exits
The only way to enter Level 308 is to enter a ruin with plants growing on a wall in Level 46. To leave here, you need to move forward far enough, which will take you to Level 169.

Addendum A1: Diary Discovered Within Level 308
Day 1
Dear diary, I am truly unfortunate today. I just wandered around Level 46 and came to this damn place. It's very hot here, and the air is also very dry. I am very thirsty now, but the water in my water bottle is already empty. To be honest, I really don't remember pouring or drinking it, maybe I made a mistake? I don't know what to do now, I can only hope to find the exit soon.
Day 2
Dear diary, not only did I fail to find the exit today, but I also lost my backpack. It was blown away in the strong wind just now. I tried to look for it everywhere, but couldn't find it. It may have been buried under the sand. My luck is really bad. I lost a lot of things. I think I will make a list of them so that if anyone else at this level can find them, I can retrieve them.

It is currently speculated that the author of this diary has died at Level 308.
