NOTICE
On behalf of the Major Explorer Group, The General Public Database and its staff team warn you that due to recent discoveries about Level 20's nature, entry to this level is ill-advised. The M.E.G. have given us permission to add their expedition logs of Level 20 at the end of the article for further context. Stay safe.

A picture of the waiting halls.
Level 20, also known as Fun Zone, is an activity palace that extends for an unknown distance. This level is known for two weather-related phenomena, that being the sound of strong wind and heavy breathing, as well as the illusion of snowfall. It is divided into two sections known as: "the waiting halls" and "the electric."
An orange gelatinous substance with no apparent source falls through the ceiling at irregular intervals. The leading theory is that it may be no-clipping from another, as of yet undiscovered, level. The substance seems to be harmless thus far, but has not been fully analyzed.
The Waiting Halls

An entrance to the electric from the waiting halls.
The first section is a series of hallways consisting of white concrete, a brown carpet and a grey tiled ceiling. The hallways are littered with lockers, trash cans, couches, tables, chairs, empty reception desks, water fountains pouring Almond Water, and vending machines containing various brands of soft drinks. Chocolate bars as well as soda can be found within the lockers, and the abundance of these materials increases the further one gets from an entrance.
Windows in the waiting halls display anomalous properties and are found commonly. Looking out these windows will reveal a black void, accompanied by a vast expanse of stars, as well as the occasional moon. Interestingly, anywhere within a 10-metre radius of these windows will have the temperature drop anywhere from -22°C1 to -43°C2, despite the waiting hall's average temperature of 7°C3. Everyone within the radius will also undergo minor headaches, as well as extreme paranoia.
Although the amount of entities present within the waiting halls are minimal, Deathmoths, Clumps, Hounds, Facelings, Skin-Stealers, Nguithr'xurhs, and Growlers have all been spotted within the waiting halls on multiple occasions. The population of entities is not believed to be native and is theorised to have been caused by a mass migration of entities from Level 2, possibly during the blackout.
The Electric

A picture of the electric.
After roaming the waiting halls for roughly 1-4 days, one is bound to find an entrance to the electric. The electric is a series of black concrete halls, composed of a black tiled ceiling, a grey carpet, and neon lighting.
Some wanderers report mild paranoia when within the electric, though the cause of this is unknown. Recently, these reports have increased drastically, making paranoia a notable threat towards exploration of Level 20.
Interestingly, the electric does not pitch forward as most people think it to. Instead, it slowly elevates downward, with the hallways functioning as ramps which go such a small distance down that it's barely noticeable.
The change in height doesn't affect the level, with the exception of the temperature, which slowly decreases the further down one goes. The lowest temperature recorded is -27°C4. This poses a significant obstacle towards the exploration of the electric, it's important to note one can easily gain frostbite in this level if unprepared.
Within the electric are doors that lead to its various "games". These games are tasks that require physical activity to win (i.e. throwing foam balls or rock climbing). Upon beating a game, the level will reward the winner with supplies such as food or Almond Water. If one is to lose the game, the level will manifest a hostile entity or teleport the 'player' to a different, more dangerous level, often leading to the death of the wanderer. A list of these games and their properties will be provided below.
The same entities found within the waiting halls can be found here, eventually appearing in larger numbers if one were to go down far enough. It is believed that at some point after the entities from Level 2 migrated to Level 20, the majority of them moved further into the level, eventually settling within the electric. Entities are unable to enter or exit any of the games, as whenever they touch one of the doors they show repulsion and will immediately run away.
Entrances And Exits

A signal that an exit is nearby.
Entrances
- Blue doors containing the words "FUN ZONE" can be found within Level 2, Level 21, and Level 122. These doors will lead to Level 20.
- Entering a building of any sort in Level 11 named "Fun Zone" will lead to Level 20.
- Looking at the sky in Level 16 while it is in a cold state has a chance of teleporting one to Level 20.
- Broken or damaged doors within Level 19 have a rare chance of leading here.
Exits
- The quickest and most advised way to exit this level is via finding staff-only doors within the waiting halls, these will take you to Level 2.
- One may also exit through the waiting halls via no-clipping through the windows, which will take you to either Level 24 or Level 78.
- The only known somewhat consistent method of leaving through the electric is through the doors that lead to the electric's various games. These have a rare chance of taking you to Level 4, Level 21, or Level 36. These doors will always have an exit sign nearby.
- One can also leave this level by failing certain games within the electric, though this method is guaranteed to send you to a dangerous level.

Jacob: Well, here we are. Took a bit of time trying to find that door in Level 2, but we made it and that's all that matters.
Isaac: Aye, took us way too long to figure out directions on the map the lads in Track Mappers gave us. Not sure if this is on us or if the map they gave us was faulty.
Joseph: Guys, I think Track Mappers might fucking hate us. We ask them for a nice map to a Level 20 entrance, and they give us a terrible map with mundane directions. Are they trying to kill us? Not even mentioning their snarky comments during the conversation about receiving the map.
Isaac: Joseph, not when we're recording.
Jacob: Anyway, there's nothing new to report, we have just made it to the waiting halls after all. Consider this confirmation that we've made it. I think it's best if we end the log for now. I'll start up a log once something more notable happens.

Isaac: And we're on lads!
Jacob: Took A bit of time, but we made it to the electric around a day ago. We've been exploring, and it's been… off to say the least.
Joseph: My head is in shambles.
Jacob: Yeah, it's that. We have this feeling that someone, or something, is watching us, This feeling has been eating at us, and we don't have the experience when it comes to this kinda stuff. It's not a very nice feeling.
Isaac: So what, lad? The article for this place said we'd have to deal with these feelings, and the guidebook the M.E.G. gave us insures us these are just that, feelings. This is simply paranoia, nothing more.
Joseph: So? Who the hell cares what some people in Level 1 and 2 say, what do they know? If they can't get us to an entrance to this level, how can I trust their advice for this level?
Jacob: Guys, calm down.
Joseph: No! I am simply explaining why just because some guys in Base Alpha told me It's just "paranoia" doesn't mean I have to be calm about any of this. They've never been here! They can't tell me something isn't watching us right now!
Isaac: Look, Joe. I think you're a bit too distrusting of the M.E.G. These are all experienced researchers from some of the biggest bases in the organisation, they know what they're doing.
Joseph: Oh, fuck off with that! In the Backrooms, if you think something is watching you, something may be watching you. Some jackass in a suit or lab coat telling me I'm just paranoid doesn't change this! Even if I am paranoid, so what? Paranoia is a warning sign, I have the right to be paranoid, and-
Jacob: Enough, both of you. The M.E.G doesn't want to hear this, and I don't either. If we keep cluttering our logs with insults towards them we are going to get fired… Please, let's change the topic.
Isaac: Can I tell him about the Skin-Stealer?
Jacob: Sure, go ahead.
Isaac: Ight, earlier today when exploring the electric we found a Skin-Stealer, and since we didn't have the will to pick a fight with the bastard or run from it we decided to hide. Then we saw the thing slowly approach one of the nearby doors, only for the thing to immediately run away after touching it. Bizarre, isn't it?
Jacob: Anyway, we aren't too far down. We only reached a point where the temperature changed around half an hour ago. We hope to be further down soon, though it will take a while. I'll start another log then.

Isaac: And here we are. Took a while, didn't it?
Jacob: We've reached negative 27, the coldest temperature ever reached. Far past the point where entities stop showing up. Yet somehow, morale's been high.
Joseph: The cold's terrible, the worst cold I've felt in my life. And yet, I somehow feel a strong sense of optimism about this mission. Something I've never felt since joining the M.E.G.
Isaac: See laddie, even Joseph has a good feeling about it! We all seem to have this odd feeling that something good is about to happen, yet we can't put our finger on why. Funniest part is, cold isn't bothering us too much. We can thank the lads in Base Alpha for the good winter gear and the hot chocolate.
Jacob: Unfortunately, no new discoveries have been made yet. But we have a feeling this is going to change very soon. Talk to you all later.
Joseph: You know what? Doesn't this get a bit repetitive? "Oh yeah, we made it to this point but nothing happened. Anyway, bye." I'd imagine this isn't helping the log archive very much, as you pointed out prior. Do we not have something else we could say?
Jacob: Do you have anything you would like to add?
Joseph: You have me there.
Isaac: Joseph has a point though mate! Maybe we could talk about how we've been surviving in the cold. This way if the M.E.G. sends more people here they can get a feel of what it's like.
Jacob: I suppose we could.
Joseph: We've been living off of caffeine and food that's gone frozen, and that's it.
Isaac: Well, what about some of the stuff we did before we got to this point, that could be interesting, no?
Joseph: Why?
Isaac: Why not?
Jacob: Joseph, let him have this one.
Isaac: I recall when we first ended up in the waiting halls we tried to think of ways to get drinks from one of the vending machines lying around, the thing nearly fell on you, Jacob.
Jacob: We got some pop for us out of it so it was worth it. It makes me wonder why they put us on this expedition. We're a small compass regiment that spends missions trying to steal from vending machines like dumb-asses.
Joseph: You say steal as if the Backrooms has laws for the vending machines. Do you want us to carry around actual money, something essentially useless?
Jacob: You know what I mean. Now that I think of it, didn't we already have a bunch of drinks with us? Why did we do that?
Joseph: Jacob, all we had to drink was a bunch of caffeine. I don't know how I feel about that.
Isaac: He does have a point lad.
Joseph: Isaac, it was your idea.
Jacob: I'd say now's a good time to end the log, we did what we wanted to do.

Joseph: Damn it! Damn it all! What has this level done to us? What terrible mission have you put us on? It's Jacob, he's gone. Despite the fact it's negative forty-three fucking degrees and we're beginning to freeze to death, a Hound still found the time to survive in this weather and sneak up on us and maul him to death. This can't be a natural occurrence, this has to be the levels doing. It wants us dead. You know that orange ooze this level spits out? There's been times when it's been spitting those out at us rapidly. This level… No, this thing doesn't want us here. Base Alpha, and the M.E.G. as a whole, I hate you. I loath all of you. And I hate how you send your explorers to die in hell knows where. Whether this is intentional or you're all just fucking brain dead I don't know. Isaac agrees with me on all of this, we spent the last hour discussing this. He's just too polite to voice his opinion on you. We could turn back, but to be honest, we're too far in. Isaac and I both agreed to keep exploring and continuing this log. To let this level kill us. Not because we wan't this, but out of sheer spite towards you. This is how we honour Jacob. I wish the end of all of you. I wish that the Lord enacts the fire and brimstone cast upon Sodom upon your bases and outposts. I fucking detest all of you.

Isaac: I'll try to be more formal for this message… Joseph's dead. This time it was a Clump. Another entity that shouldn't be here. I share the same sentiments as Joseph, and I see no need to repeat his message. On a different note, I feel as if I am nearing something. The weather dropped to a full minus 40, that has to mean something. I pray I am able to reach this something before the cold gets to me. I see no point in continuing this log until then. Just to get some good research on this level before it kills me, I'll be trying to see if I can get that old camera of mine to work.

A large landscape of blue rock is visible, above it a pitch black sky, believed to be the one visible from the levels windows
Isaac: And it's on! It's a miracle this damn thing started working, thing should be frozen over.
The camera remains near motionless whilst he talks
Isaac: So this is it, the light at the end of the tunnel… Jacob, Joseph, this is for you!
Suddenly, a massive amount of stars become visible throughout the sky, each of which varying colours
Isaac: The Stars… makes me wish I was back in the waiting halls. Scavenging lockers, bickering with Joseph… If only we knew what we were in for… It's freezing, why am I not cold? Never mind that, I have something I want to show you lads.
Isaac turns around, showing a large, black building built upon the blue landscape
Isaac: You see that? That's where I just left from. That's the death trap that killed the two best people I've ever known. More of their blood is on your hands than it is this the buildings… In other words, what we thought to be the entirety of Level 20 is merely a building on something much bigger. I can't image how far this thing stretches up to.
Isaac begins wandering the landscape whilst talking
Isaac: I should also mention I suspect this level to be on some sort of planet. Think of it! The stars and moons, the futuristic theme, it's a reasonable suspicion! If the Backrooms expresses what it's levels based on more unknown things are through the human perception of these places, how is this any different?
Isaac begins to stand still, whilst shaking the camera frantically
Isaac: Yes, it's a planet! I know it's a planet! I don't know how I know, but I do! I have this feeling in my brain that this is a planet, as if someone is telling me through it!
The camera moves towards the sky
Isaac: Must be far from its sun to be this cold… Why do I feel so warm? It's freezing, I should be dead, yet I am warm… I'm warm, I'm content, I'm happy! Who knew heaven could be this cold? If only they were here to see this with me. Wait…
The camera, still pointed at the sky, remains perfectly still
Isaac: Can't you see it? it's in the sky! No… It IS the sky!
The footage begins to distort
Isaac: A creature has revealed itself to me, a sphere of blue flesh, containing the planet inside it, as if it was the sky… Ten thousand eyes looking towards me, and ten thousand mouths of sharp teeth. That orange ooze, it's coming out of its mouth… As if this thing was spitting it out.
The camera distortion increases rapidly, making footage unrecognisable
Isaac: It's trying to tell me something, I can hear it… It says I am worthy to be in its presence, for I have made the trek to it. And it's saying that if I spread word of its existence, all will be revealed to them when they so much as enter the structure. But first they must fight the pain and dread of the structure, as I could and my friends couldn't. It's telling me something else.
All footage past this point is unintelligible, but goes on for roughly an hour
End Log 11:17
Conclusion: In assumption that the information revealed in the footage is truthful, then Level 20 has been discovered to be a planet, instead of the traditional level mimicking places within the Frontrooms we thought it to be. The M.E.G. has decided to name the planet "Boreas", and the level "Boreas Structure". Due to the content of the exploration logs as well as the inherent danger of the entity shown within the recording, no attempts at further expeditions into Level 20 will be conducted, and any plans for an outpost within the level are to be discarded. It is also within our interest that we use any means necessary to block the public from entry into Level 20, or at the very least warn them, as this level has proven itself to be a possible threat towards people who enter it, as we don't know what this entity is capable of.
