Silent Ascent

Silent Ascent is a narrow, steep stairway whose actual length and height remain unknown. The path is surrounded by concrete walls and dense vegetation of various types lining both sides. Concrete structures resembling abandoned buildings can also be seen outside the path; most of them have moss-covered walls and vary in height. Attempting to leave the path (such as by jumping over the low fence) is not recommended, as there is a large ravine outside the path. This narrow path branches out but continues to climb upward, resembling tree branches—some branches end in dead ends, while others merge with or cross other branches. There are no objects or entities to be found on this level, so visiting it is relatively safe, but survivors should still bring supplies as there are no consumable resources to be found within the level. This level is always in daylight and has a cold and humid climate. It is recommended to bring a raincoat because it sometimes rains within the level. The path becomes quite slippery when it rains, and the lack of safety measures along the path means survivors must be careful when navigating.

This level is also known for generating absolutely no sound; even the footsteps and speech of survivors cannot be heard by anyone else, making this level profoundly silent regardless of the noise level of the survivors. Survivors entering this level for the first time are certain to be shocked, believing they have gone deaf. However, warnings against panic and instruction in sign language have been disseminated since visits to this level began to increase. Due to the absence of sound, survivors may be completely unaware of what is happening in their surroundings. Constant situational awareness is highly recommended, especially when rain makes the path's floor extremely slippery, as accidents could befall an unwary traveler.

Entrances and Exit

Entrances

Noclipping on bushes or ornamental plants can send survivors to this level. This method is not entirely successful because on some occasions survivors are not sent at all, but this is the only known way to enter the level.

Exit

The only way to exit this level is to find the abandoned hotel building located off the path. This building is now easy to find because the survivors have made a series of markings leading to it. Entering the building will send survivors to the Balihud Hotel. Survivors can still return to this level by exiting through the hotel door.
