- Cataclysmic Entity Count

Level Canal is an unnumbered level of the Backrooms.
Description
Level Canal is an extremely hazardous level of the backrooms, completely infested with entities and having huge amounts of environmental hazards. It appears to be a quaint British canal, although this facade is deceiving.
As soon as you enter this level, you will feel an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia. Every wanderer who enters this level will experience this, despite the fact that it is only familiar to British people, who only make up 0.84% of the world population.
The initial environment of the level is relatively safe, with the only hazard being drowning in the canal. Walking up or down the canal's edge will go nowhere, as every bend takes you back to the section you were at before.
Swimming in the canal has a similar effect; no matter the direction you swim in you will always resurface in the same place.
Walking into the forest at either side of the canal after climbing over the fence will either lead to either the opposite forest or back to the same place you entered the woods.
There is no point in exploring, nor any way to do so, so please do not try.
Red Shifts
An artist's rendition of a Red Shift, without entities.
A Red Shift is a dangerous phenomenon that only happens on Level Canal, where the sun will turn red, the water will turn to blood, and a massive horde of billions of dangerous entities will appear around the wanderer.
Additionally, many glowing fire exit signs will appear at random locations around the level. Why it does this is unknown, as they do not lead anywhere specific and are often attached to incongruent locations such as trees and floors.
Such an event is extremely bad for both physical health and sanity levels, although the latter is usually a secondary concern when running for your life.
This happens at complete random and has no warning signs, nor any way of avoiding it.
Most wanderers will only survive a few moments before being torn to bloody pieces by the throng around them.
Rarely, a wanderer might somehow survive for long enough for the red shift to end (which happens after exactly 9.345566 minutes). How these people manage such an improbable feat is unknown.
Note
A note was found in this level by a M.E.G. explorer researching this level.
Bases, Outposts and Communities
Due to the extreme danger present on this level, it is impossible to establish bases. Despite this, there have been attempts by the M.E.G. to create one, as part of their initiative to make bases in every single level no matter the cost.
Entities
During a red state, many entities will appear, such as Smilers, Female Deathmoths, Dullers, Hounds, Skin-Stealers, Wretches, and Death Rats. Despite the high entity count, no common entities (those that inhabit most levels) discovered after 2020 appear.
There is also an entity exclusive to Level Canal, known as Entity Canal-Alpha.
Entrances And Exits
Entrances
Level Canal can be entered by noclipping on a Tuesday that is also the tenth or twentieth day of the month. This only works on even-numbered levels that are multiples of seven.
It can also be entered through falling into a canal in Level 11.
Exits
There is no known way to leave this level for now.
