Nice read. I liked how the text evolued.
And a gargantuan husk of starlight broke the ocean’s surface in a deafening explosion of water. The first of the dead stars, it sunk into the depths of an ocean where even the fish do not dare to swim, never to be seen again. I could hear the screams of those around me as the first wave broke shore and enacted its wrath. I was lucky, so very lucky, given a chance to run, given a final breath of life by the last light of the stars above.
hauntingly evocative.

Whoa, it’s a forum signature. Ain’t that cool?
I’m waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
Bro forgot about firemoths
I am glad to see you've taken my crit to heart with this piece, and I think this is much improved from when I first saw it. the prose is much more sensory-focused, particularly with the Falling Star, and adding more content after the Level description giving a more definite view of what's going on was, in my eyes, the right call to make. as it is, I think this is a solid piece of writing.
I gave it a +1 earlier, but I always love more Blackout canon content. And having an actually hopeful Blackout article that felt natural was a nice subversion of expectation!
I love this, probs one of the best hope level's i've read
