But I was concerned that people wouldn't quite understand what was happening in the second part. And I was right. So I posted this one to answer questions :)
And then herne said “its hunting time” and proceeded to hunt all over them
Good stuff, good stuff.
And I'm not talking about the time travel, I'm talking about the settings.
So, it's clear now that the character has travelled back to (probably) Georgian-era times. How come Level 0 was the same as ours, but Level 11 wasn't? Level 0 isn't immune to changes, and the location it copied would not have been built yet.
Because I wanted it to. Because there is no canon. Because it's easier for the readers to have the tutorial level be the same and a different level changed. Because I thought it would be more interesting to describe Level 11 this way AND indicate that she traveled back in time. Because how else can I indicate that the character traveled back in time without giving her knowledge she wouldn't have? Because I like messing with time. It's less of a straight line and timey-wimey stuff.
Where in the world is it said that Level 11 doesn't change? Isn't this more interesting? Or are you just nitpicking because you don't like me?
That doesn't justify it. That's irrelevant. It could be easily explained to a reader why Level 0 is different if Level 11 is different. This could be compatible with Level 0 changing. By doing what you did here, but with Level 0. You could do this with Level 0.
Congratulations, being hostile about one question added up to nothing! You know, I had an idea that I was going to give you to explain the discrepancy, but now I don't feel like it.
