Ah, the old backrooms… Not quite well writen, but surely memorable.
Level Fun and the Partygoers were recently removed so they can be rewritten, and I agree that the lore was outdated and not really connected to the backrooms as a whole, but after Level 999's rewrite and the wiki fandom's rework of partygoers, I am afraid that the new lore might be disapointing, not because of it's quality, but because of how different it might be.
And I was disappointed when level 999 was reworked, because now it does not have the same impact on the story of the backrooms as a whole, and now it's more of a forgettable level, mainly because it's not used to enter cluster 2 or even the frontrooms anymore.
The old level 999 was not as confusing and empty as the new one, but not as well designed, and because of it's massive change, I don't think it's a good final cluster 1 level.
With that in mind, you see where I am going? Level Fun is getting rewritten along with partygoers, and I'm afraid we might get something too far or even completely different than the OG story.
Don't get me wrong, a rewrite is very welcome, but I think we should keep the main design and characteristics, and improve the overall writing and relations with other levels and entities to update the story, without just ignoring most of the original idea.
Fandom's Partygoer rewrite is an example of this, it has some of the characteristics, but other than that, it's a completely new entity, good written? Yes. But a complete change on the original concept, and I think it's just a lame reason to remove roleplayers from the wiki, even if they are literally just kids having fun, and I'm sure most of us already did some cringy thing as a kid or teen.
I hope you guys can understand my point, and if there are any questions about anything, feel free to ask me :)

You'll soon get to see. The rewrite is now being greenlit. I don't know when it will get posted, but it is in the process right now!
Thanks for responding!
I LOVED the new partygoers lore! It's still our old "pal" but with more details in the story, without changing the original idea into something completely different.
Overall, I think that a more in-depth explanation of the origin of the partygoers would be very interesting considering what we've seen from the Partygoer Zero article.
If you could, I would love to know what you guys have in mind for the new partygoers! But I understand if you prefer to keep it a secret for now.
And for the sake of curiosity, are partypoopers gonna be rewriten too? Their article is still on the wiki, and it's pretty outdated.
Anyways, I'm happy I discovered this article, it gives me hope that the partygoers' rewrite will be amazing.
Have a good day =) (pun intended)
Like I said above, partygoers will be out shorty!
As for partypoopers, someone else intends to rewrite it.
