Interesting thought. Speaking as a longtime SCP fan, there are a number of articles that revolve around the effects of the author (SCP-3309, SCP-3812, and SCP-3999 come to mind), to the point that the Personnel and Character Dossier lists authors under the "Pluripotent Entities" (i.e. gods) tab, as "SWN001 Entities". There are also examples of this on-site, with Deleted Level 14 serving a similar function here as SCP-3309 does for SCP.
Looking at those two articles side-by-side, it's interesting to see how the same basic concept can be done differently within two different settings. I'd be down to see what else could be done with relation to how the authors affect the Backrooms.

And in the end, isn't the human factor the only true difference between us and the enemy we now refer to as 'the living dead'?" -Max Brooks, from World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, written by Max Brooks
