I got this what if scenario in my head about the M.E.G. not existing, two ideas come to mind
1. M.E.G. never exists and all groups related to M.E.G. either dont exist either or have way fewer numbers
2. M.E.G. just disappears one day but groups related to them stay
just wanna hear yalls thoughts, prolly wont follow up on the idea
Several problems with this before I can contribute, but each of them have several solutions.
Okay, first of all, if M.E.G. never existed, how can the database exist? In canon, or at least to me, the M.E.G. database is the the wiki itself.
Second of all, if M.E.G. just up and dissapears, there has to be an explanation on how that happened.
Third of all, if there is already a M.E.G. timeline being established by MC_Crafter_24_7. This would really contradict his work.
Solutions:
1. If you decide to go with M.E.G. never existing, then there would have to be an explanation to where the article/the database has come from. Even if you had a smaller number of people in the M.E.G., that would mean it would have less people to contribute to creating the database, and fewer people mean fewer articles. Perhaps make it to where everyone/anyone in the Backrooms is able to contribute to?
2. The M.E.G. does have several powerful enemies in the form of both G.O.I.'s and entities. Perhaps find a perfect one to fit the bill of destroy the M.E.G. Or perhaps make the The Enigmachina malfunction or The Gearmaker mess up in it's task and the M.E.G. dissapear temporarily(if you are seeking to have it fit somewhere in Mr. Crafter's timeline).
3. Another thing you can use to escape the contradictions with Mr. Crafter's work is making the whole thing an alternate timeline. Then you don't have to worry about having to pm him and sort things out (if you are actually going to do this).

I wasn't really thinking about crafter's meg timeline, If I tried to make it fit in that timeline I'm pretty sure it would be a big slap in the face to him so definitely a alternative timeline where they just die in the past or in the present or something.
also can you give a link to gearmaker and enigmachina or something like them?
Oh and ALSO also thoughts on calling it "UnExplored" or "Aimless"? I'm tied between them.

Regarding the name, it depends on what the name is refering to. Generally, I believe that the name of a canon should have some link to what the story of the canon is.
Give me reasons why you are thinking of those, and I will pick.
I will p.m. MC_Crafter_24_7 and ask him to take a look at this discussion. He is the one who owns the group, so he should be able to help, even if we decide not to have it in the main timeline.

Never mind, it appears the links are dead. You may not be able to integrate it in Mr. Crafter's timeline, then. The situation where M.E.G. never existed wouldn't fit in his timeline at all. I'm leaning towards us doing an alternate universe, if we are going with that. However, the other situations might fit that don't involve M.E.G. dissapearing in his timeline.

well having no major Explorer group would leave the place… UnExplored
but aimless fits more on if meg disappears Now rather than earlier, a lot of people who needed the meg to protect them are now wandering… Aimlessly (unless someone like bntg or uce picks them up)
I'm thinking the Aimless way is the better way, what do yall think?

This just sounds like it's own canon. No need for me involved for M.E.G. stuff if there's no M.E.G.
A separate timeline canon is fine. And the wiki is not the M.E.G.'s database. As pages from every GOI are found there, not just the M.E.G. I'd say the wiki is a public database of sorts formed by all major groups. The M.E.G. would still have it's own internal database.
It's just my idea of what it is in canon.
Thank you for clarifying the amount of need for your involvment and whether having a seperate timeline is fine.
