I love this. For me, it reminds me of when I’m dreaming and lucid enough to know that things aren’t quite right, but not lucid enough to recognize that I’m asleep.

Very interesting concept. However, grammatically speaking, the use of tenses shifts erratically. Granted, given the concept, this may be intentional. Even so, I did not find that it added to the article meaningfully, but instead made it difficult to read.
It could really use a little polish!
