Why is this Enigmatic?
Because it's a level that phases into other levels and moves across the Blue Channel unpredictably, with Exits and Entrances that change randomly. To me it wouldn't fit to have a number. Also "Enigmatic" is not a well-defined label, it's up to author interpretation.
This is all to justify the Tale?
No the Tale was written way later. I had established the mechanics and dangers of the Level, and then wrote a tragic story that could be caused by such mechanics.
