I don't dislike the concept, and I don't think others do. I just don't like the fact they have basically said no one else can contribute to it.

agreed

That is to ensure the lore does not become over-bloated, especially given how tired people are becoming of godlike entities
oh ok
hi it is me aaron92
I will note that it does say
Currently, all 24 spots in the Pantheon itself are occupied (yes, even the ones that say [NO DATA]). However, there are still plenty of other ways to contribute to this canon if you so wish. Developing GOIs, POIs, objects, phenomena and tales related to the Pantheon or any of its individual members is more than welcomed. If you have an idea, simply contact any of the relevant contributors via Discord and share it with them. If you wish for your contributions to seamlessly fit into the canon, it is highly advised to seek approval of your concept from them.
So while you can't add any entities, you can add the other types of writing.

At least people can contribute like that.

Update: the cap is removed now so anyone can add a pantheon member. But it's highly recommended you join the canon server and communicate with the canon writers to ensure it fits
I'm not sure of the exact reasons why people dislike the Pantheon. Too many godlike beings may be part of that though.
That's understandable. It makes sense that people dislike it when a gazillion entities with godlike powers are on this site.

dudes.
people aren't chill with the pantheon because the backrooms was, and is, considered a wild, untamed space outside the bounds of reality.
that's what makes it so coolio; there are no rules, no laws, no restrictions.
but, when the pantheon was introduced, it gave the backrooms some sense of authority, along with a different tone(which we'll touch on later), which people were not chill with.
with these incredibly powerful beings, the backrooms — to the people who aren't cool with the pantheon — almost lost its sense of purpose.
as the backrooms was meant to convey an, almost, eerie, nostalgic feeling to its inhabitants, the pantheon, almost, does the opposite.
however, the pantheon defies this logic, as it, usually, conveys a tone of whimsy and fantastical fantasy, which isn't necessarily bad, but seemed unfit for the backrooms.
so, in all, people aren't chill with the pantheon because, to them, it goes directly against the, already established, tone of the backrooms.
in other words, it gave the backrooms hope.
the backrooms is all about despair.
Merry Christmas
Not necessarily. There are plenty of examples of things that provide hope in the Backrooms lore, such as the M.E.G, the safe levels, and the possibility of escaping the Backrooms. You don’t see people downvoting the M.E.G.’s GOI to deletion, or people asking for the safe level class to be deleted. There are also a few articles that give a way to escape the Backrooms. Additionally, there are plenty of gods/entities in the Pantheon that paint a message of despair, ruin, and other negative words. I doubt it is just because there are a few entities in the Pantheon that aren’t death and destruction. Take Blanche, for example. Every page I’ve come across related to her is abundant in upvotes.

It seems I may need to clarify. I don't mean to argue, as I love the pantheon dearly and hold its creators in the utmost respect, but this is moreover about the fact that the gods are, well, to put it simply, gods. Again, I, personally, love the pantheon and have nothing against it, but those who don't have reason to. This may be hard to understand, as I can't exactly outspeak this, but I shall try; it doesn't matter if some of the gods of the pantheon are not portraying hopelessness or despair, all that matters is that they are gods, themselves. Gods are meant to exist as some sort of authority, deities that, ultimately, have the final say in the outcome of most things. They are seen as authority. Keep that in mind. Now, imagine if you were put face-to-face with, let us say, Kei'; the god of access. What would you do when faced with this giant, tentacle-ridden being in the middle of a dark void? Would you, perchance, talk to him like he was a childhood friend of yours? Or, would you ask him out to ice cream(oh, I kid, I kid!)? I will guess you won't. And that's because he's a god. A god that is a sentient, aware, powerful being. If you treated him so casually, pray tell what would happen next.
So, in all, some do not like the pantheon because, apart from the fact it goes against the grain of the backrooms to those who don't like it, it provides a sense of authority that some are not comfortable with. Now, again, the pantheon's works are, no doubt, fine pieces of literature, but we must accept that not everyone can come to terms on it being deemed fit for the backrooms.
And, so, we must respect their opinions.
Merry Christmas
Hey, hey! Don't worry, this is a discussion, not an argument(trust me, there's a difference). I like these kinds of talks and think they are good to have every so often. Don't back down from your opinion until I've entirely convinced you, or until you think you can't convinced me. Same thing goes for me. Now, my point is that people shouldn't hate the pantheon just because it presented some hope, I personally don't see a problem with god-like entities as long as they don't have a say in everything or are invincible. Which the pantheon made sure of both. I have the same sort of feelings towards the entities that you described above. No disagreement there.I just wanted you to know that I believed that the Backrooms isn't all about despair, and you'll discover that yourself by reading onsite articles.
Have you made an introduction post in the introduction thread yet? You should do that so other writers can get to know you exist and keep an eye out for things you've written. I certainly will.

Oh, no, of course. I have agreed with you from the start, I just wanted to clarify because I wanted to let you know that I don't have anything against the pantheon. The backrooms isn't completely about despair, but I suggest thinking about it as a hyperbole. I think I exaggerated, y'know?
Also, I have not. I know this sounds like a joke, but I don't want anyone here to know I exist.
I appreciate you taking a chance on me, though.
Have a great day, man.
Merry Christmas
i get that. the backrooms isn't really the same when humans started colonizing(?for lack of a better word)all over the place, making it just some supernatural place where we can be
people do like hope, because its like, hope. and wholesome stuff also, but for ppl like me who want to stick to the vibe of the backrooms as some hazardous place yeah it does take away from it
me personally i dont not like the pantheon, its just that the tendency of some people to create a bunch of gods as characters is getting a bit…tiring.
but the lore itself is great&i think we all can work around that and what we have.
Because it is incredibly intrusive and unfitting for the backrooms. It's a mythology someone created, then imposed onto the Backrooms for some reason.
