ive always loved the concept of rosko's basilisk, and this is a pretty good iteration of the lovable infohazard. thing is, it really doesnt add anything to the concept (besides having the basilisk being Already There but thats a bit of a forgone conclusion) . which is a shame, because what you have so far is really good! i just wish you added more rather than just playing the concept straight. (who wouldve guessed the backrooms author dislikes things being played straight LMAO gay)
I may have been too straight yeah, but tell me, is the Basilisk asking the reader to spread them in the backrooms, frontrooms or in the real real world ? Both ?
I've kept that ambiguous enough to let this question surface: Is it all-powerful like it usually is or simply a control-freak limited by the constraint of its own reality ?
It may even be lying for all we know and its "plans" being nothing but a cheap scare from something that isn't more than an edgy sentient informatic being. This basilisk even got the name of the real one wrong…
"Roko" and not "Rosko"
I have however a big issue when I try to put sub-meaning to stuff where I hide them too deep to be understood. I'm pretty sure this article suffered from that.
