kind of stuff I wrote in middle school/high school. Very basic, not interesting at all but, I hope you make something out of poetry in the future. -1
Planning on making this a series.

May I just say, this is, honestly, an exquisite work. The tone of Tom's speech, how you could see what he was seeing, hear what he was hearing, and feel it, altogether, blended into a wonderful symphony of your craft, well, it was an exhilarating feeling. However, I digress, and I would just like to commend you for this feat, this wonderful work of art. Well done, I say.

Merry Christmas
This had a really strong opening couplet, and for a second I was prepared to read some thoughtful and musical poetry. Unfortunately, I feel like the end of the first stanza and the off-kilter rhythm to it threw me out of the reverie, and from there, I couldn't help but take notice of every little thing I felt could be polished with the poem. While it has somewhat interesting imagery, and I think the emotion it tries to point to is poignant, I just don't think it's as tightly cut and prosodaically sound as it needs to be for the incredibly short length. I can give props and say that it does feel like a non-poet's first draft, but I do feel like the poem being good should be prioritized over realism in microfiction.
