was this level inspired of "level !"? just wondering
Partly yes, I thought, that level ! is not too good to be a separate article, and too good to just be forgotten. So I managed to give it live in this article!
Really nice to see a good incredibly dangerous level. My only criticism is the fact that SPaG is a bit wonky in places. Still +1.
I feel a bit disconnected as there is no level 215 yet. But it was still fun to read.
It relied on an old level that was still around when the article was in sandbox.
Luckily, Level 215 might make a comeback soon! IIRC, the author of the old Level 215 is rewriting it.
Really cool concepts and ideas, though there are a lot of SPaG issues and the word choice/structure is kind of weak in places.
Still a great article though! Just needs a quick proofread or two that I have not the brain cells to provide.
not sure how to feel about this. its alright, but it does feel sort of random, even though thats the whole point of the level.

reads like a -j on the mainlist, and not from the shenanigans happening, but from how the supposedly competent meg is reacting to these shenanigans. suspending my disbelief for one guy talking in memespeak, sure, but to suspend my disbelief for the overseer and operatives who act equally silly?

Despite being a good level as a whole, it has two main problems that made me dislike it.
The first is that the dialogues are too expository, and that they're even funny because they're so forced. Especially the entity's first line.
The second is the use of level !, which isn't a problem, the real problem is not fixing its flaws. The level ! is outdated, the distance you have to run down the corridor is simply impossible for anyone, and having nutrition bars along the way is very much something a child would write.
In the end, these are just criticisms; again, the level as a whole is very good.
Oh my god I love this level, just the sheer dread of being followed before it breaks into an escape scenario. Video games have not done this level justice (assuming it's Level !), because of the slow burn tension.
