Mama mia! You served-a da tomato sauce without-a da SPaGhetti!!
- Try to use the active voice more than the passive voice
(“should not attempt the setting up of a base” is odd, while “should not attempt to set up a base” sounds smoother)
- Don’t use quantitative nouns to describe subjective/qualitative properties, or vice versa
(“Percentage of fear”, “amount of entities”, etc sound bizarre and unprofessional)
- I suggest that Wanderers as a term be capitalized. This is just my opinion, though
- Please proofread. There are some spelling and major grammar mistakes that I’m honestly surprised managed to make it through
(“one should not take example from them”, “explode of combust”, “due fo the fact”, “they have have”)
are extremely loud with the noises of machinery. The hallways are very narrow and enclosed, some even requiring wanderers of average size height and build to have to bend, hunch, crawl, or even walk sideways through them.
Level 3 is one of the largest(?) levels in of The Backrooms. Estimated at around 350 square miles in area (~563 million square kilometers), this presumed size makes it so that sightings of fellow wanderers are scarce when traveling through Level 3. It is recommended that you enter Level 3 only if you are properly prepared to defend yourself from anything which may be lurking in the hallways with you, as it will be is highly unlikely that any aid will come to you, should you need it.
As has been mentioned before, Level 0 and Level 3 share striking similarities, save for their drastically different appearances. An example of this would be the rooms in Level 3, which oftentimes have identifying features wanderers can use as landmarks, much unlike Level 0. One of the more notable examples of this occurrence is that of a set of rusty prison bars, captured in image form by The M.E.G. in the initial exploration of the level in 2012 (see the image attached to the right for reference to regarding the appearance of the bars). Further studies tests have brought to light the fact demonstrated that, no matter what methods were used attempted, the certain bars were unable to be could never be removed or opened, as were nor the walls around them. This occurrence has Such obstructions have made it impossible to traverse certain portions portions of Level 3, so a full mapping of the level cannot be made fully mapped at the present time.
This paragraph has significant content issues. Refer to the meatballs collapsible.
M.E.G. field explorers have pointed out reported that areas where prison bars are present in numerous quantities more numerous tend to instill a higher percentage heightened sense of fear in wanderers. Reports have stated that these effects regions leave wanderers feeling extremely uncomfortable. Wanderers often claim to feel as if they are being watched, and have even reported seeing something looming claimed to see strange figures lurking beyond the bars. The M.E.G. has mostly dismissed these reports concluded that such phenomena are either the result of as hallucinations, or merely rumors.
Other things Electrical or electronic appliances such as breaker boxes, computers, loose wires, security camera monitors, and fluorescent lights, and other such objects and appliances have also been documented.
Level 3, while relatively dangerous, is considered a hotspot for to set up a — supply bases. This is because —Level 3 the level is rich with items resources such as Almond Water, False Outlets, Liquid Pain, Firesalt, Royal Rations, Squirt Guns, and Bottled Lightning.
It is also to be noted that Notably, Level 3 is also the place level in which Wi-Fi in The Backrooms is at its strongest, sitting at a consistent three or four bars instead of fluctuating randomly like in the majority of other places Levels.
— Due to the high amount of valuable resources which can be available in the level, several— Numerous groups have consistently attempted to set up bases in Level 3 in order to make use of its abundant assets. A large proportion of them do not make it past the first few days of being set up however these attempts fail merely days after they are established, as entities can and will attack vulnerable bases that are not prepared for onslaught. As has been demonstrated with a significant amount of other minor groups that have attempted to build bases in the level, one should not take example from them, and not attempt the setting up of a base in this level by yourself. The high failure rate should serve as a warning—do not attempt to settle in Level 3 unless you have the resources, manpower and tenacity to do so.
(Shift this paragraph directly under Bases, Communities and Outposts.)
Level 3 shares many similarities to with Level 2, in such as the fact that the walls are typically lined with pipes. The pipes are far less abundant than those of Level 2, but they can still be found lining the corners of most of the hallways. They are also one of the main sources of noise of Level 3, as The echo of the viscous, black sludge that flows through these pipes is one of the main sources of noise within the Level. them creates several noises which echo through the level. The sludge in question is highly toxic, and emits deadly fumes that cause damage to the body’s nervous system if inhaled, causing as well as 2nd and/or 3rd degree burns upon direct contact with skin to anyone who makes skin contact with the it. Furthermore, studies of the substance have not been able to conclude exactly what it is made of All studies attempting to analyze the chemical composition of the sludge have yielded inconclusive results. only makes studying the sludge in itself harder than it needs to be This in itself poses an obstacle to research on the substance’s properties and potential functions.
(Shift this paragraph up to just between the prison bar paragraph and the electrical room paragraph.)
Long term travel in Level 3 is also made hard due fo the fact that the temperatures in Level 3 are sometimes inhospitable. The abundant machinery within the level causes temperatures to be considerably high at all times uncomfortably warm but generally bearable, with the average temperature varying widely from 66-93°F (~18-33°C). Long-distance travel across Level 3 is made difficult by regions in which the temperature may rise dramatically to become entirely inhospitable, with the highest temperature ever recorded in the level being 135°F (~57°C). The average temperature, unlike the highest recorded one, sits at an uncomfortable but bareable 66-93°F (~18-33°C), which varies depending on location. Reports of damp, thick air have also been documented, which makes the air in some areas where it was observed hard to breathe in difficult to breathe.
The machinery of Level 3 is quite possibly the most dangerous aspect of its ambient environment. The machines found throughout it the level operate anomalously autonomously and without the need for outside external intervention. Wanderers may benefit from useful machinery, or tap into the apparently infinite extranormal supply of electricity powering them. However, the autonomy of these machines also results in a hazardous volatility. , but this autonomously results in it acting unpredictably, and makes it so that maintenance be needed on it, even though it’s unsafe to do so. Because of the latter property Machines often break down require and regular maintenance, which is dangerous since their power supply cannot be turned off by any means. Furthermore, the machines have been known to spontaneously explode of combust on several occasions, which results in several injuries being dealt to wanderers who are unfortunate enough to be in the presence of a malfunctioning machine causing grievous injury to Wanderers unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity. Despite this information however, one is to note that the machinery can be easily avoided if one does not act rashly, and instead scouts out a safe path to travel when **route while traversing the level.
(I apologize for the extensive corrections in these later paragraphs, but the SPaG here has sometimes gotten close to intolerable.)
Level 3 has contains many different dangerous entities present inside of it, which make it difficult to roam without having to encounter a sizable amount of them. It is almost impossible to traverse large distances without encountering them at least once. Hounds, Facelings, Wretches, Male and Female Deathmoths, Skin-Stealers, Dullers, Smilers, Clumps, and Bursters all seem to inhabit this level, preying on anyone unlucky enough to succumb to them. The Crawler Fungus has been reported to **found growing here, along with and the high humidity makes it easy for the Disease to spread easy to catch here as well, so it is you are advised to be wary of your sanitation maintain proper hygiene practices while making your way through the tunnels.
Whilst these entities do not appear at every corner, they their large numbers have have caused many countless casualties among wanderer circles and M.E.G. operatives alike. These entities have even been reported to actively seek out hubs of human activity — particularly minor bases —in hopes of dismantling them and feasting on their occupants. Attacks on The M.E.G.’s M.E.G. Base Gamma are frequent, but often pose little to no threat threat due to the size and defensive capacities of the base in question. Smaller groups, such as the FOJ, have reported difficultly in keeping their outposts intact, and. Many of them have reported almost being completely taken down by the attacks multiple times experienced near or total collapse of their outposts as a result of multiple attacks, along with the constant fear of their safety being jeopardized **and live in constant fear for their safety.
Estimated at around 350 square miles in area (~563 million square kilometers)
On one hand, yay metric! On the other hand, there’s no way the numbers are right. I think you meant 350 million square miles?
As mentioned before, Level 0 and Level 3 share striking similarities, save for their drastically different appearances. An example of this would be the rooms in Level 3, which oftentimes have identifying features wanderers can use as landmarks, much unlike Level 0.
This is poorly structured. You say that Level 0 and Level 3 are similar, then immediately go on to talk about how they are different. You don’t really explain how they are similar… I would suggest you at least mention that they are similar in layout, with rooms and corridors.
Another important difference—you would do well to mention that Level 0 is non-Euclidian and spatially desynchronized (Wanderers are forced into isolation and generally can’t meet) while Level 3 doesn’t seem to be.
The machinery of Level 3 is quite possibly the most dangerous aspect of its ambient environment.
I’d like a better explanation of what machinery refers to. Is it miscellaneous industrial or factory machinery without a clearly discernible function? Or are you referring to the electrical appliances and breaker boxes and generators and such that you’ve previously mentioned?
I do appreciate the better details and descriptions, though! I’ll upvote once these have been fixed!

Very good article. Far better than the Level 3 we had before. I really like how you actually described the level and its dangers directly instead of just saying "Level 2 but more dangerous". Amazing job!
