This concept is really amazing, and I think it relates(unintentionally, in the most likelihood) to something called astral projection. It's a very similar technique of leaving your physical body and into a mental one. I haven't been able to succesfully astral project, but this concept makes it seem a lot easier for me(with my wild-child brain).
