Okay but in all seriousness, it’s I guess meant to create some kind of normalcy. It gives into the theory that Facelings have a sense of “Desire,” which if you couldn’t tell, is the overall theme of this article.

Ah, I see. I always thought they were fine as the sentence was still compound and it shook up the sentence structure a little. But do tell me why you find it unpreferable! It'd be interesting to learn. /gen

Mmm not much about this article interests me. It's just a plain ol' bakery with a bunch of Facelings and pastries that do Things. The SPaG and general authorship isn't the best, so I'm leaving it at a downvote.
