This is the discussion related to the wiki page (TRIMMED) Level 7.9 - "Surface Caves".
“It's the first sub-level not to be in numerical order to the previous Level 7 sub-level (that one being Level 7.2) however my general idea is that if regular Levels are never found in the right order, then why would sub-levels? “
Snippet taken from my page announcement.
Like you don’t see people complaining how far away Level 998 is from everything else do you?

Despite this being decently old, I find it a nice level that gives context to how bases are built, gives depth into the B.N.T.G's business, and adds more realism to The Backrooms, with people migrating from dangerous levels into more habitable ones. I also enjoy that you're adding to that realism by doing the same thing that is normally done with regular levels, skipping some numbers. It makes sense, seeing as the number system is already irregular.
Notes: I also started reading around this time so it's nostalgic for me too kek.
