Interesting level that's very reminiscent of rural China. I love the commentary on slash and burn crops and the duality of it all and how nature must feel about it.

Thank you sm! I did try other shades when creating the article but it looked sort of weird and then I tried orange which made it even harder to see so I thought I would leave it red, sorry if you found it annoying to read!

My only major nitpick is that the pure red text on vibrant red background is kinda hard to read, either darken the image behind it, darken the text colour, or both! Maybe bold it as well if possible!

Other than that, very nice article!

any parchments were found preserved under the ash about the levels past, all in Mandarin writing […]

mandarin is a spoken dialect of chinese, and its writing bears no differences to other dialects that use simplified chinese. i think the thing you would be specifying would be whether the parchments were written in simplified or traditional characters, which are the two forms of scripts present in the region today.

Fantastic article. I love the idea of ecological preservation in the Backrooms. It really brings this spirit of "no matter where humans are, they will work to restore the natural world the best they can, even under dark circumstances."

Would have liked to see more scientific analysis of the preservation efforts, but the actual details of that are a little hard to construct for a writing project. No article is perfect.
