despite my minimal knowledge of the lore that level 404 spawned, I can confidently say this was a great story on its own. the character between kat and river is immediately clear, and the imagery of the digital encoded world crashing around river as kat comes to her. this is definitely a prime example of literature that is felt and imagined more than critically analyzed, and combined with the well-timed ambiance, I truly felt like I was in an immersive experience moreso than almost any other backrooms pages. it also helps that the poetry itself is tightly-executed and varies its rhyme scheme throughout to remain fresh and interesting. when speaking about minimalism, I often think of a cutback execution coupled with a cutback idea. this manages to do the second and forego the latter to great effect.

probably my new favorite page on the site. well-done!

This is RIGHT up my alley and the ambience really helped set the right tone. I almost feel unqualified to *praise* the article, but i loved it. The poetry, the themes covered, and their execution, not to mention I have a soft spot for gaius's articles. Instantly a favorite, great job!

Nothing much to say. The writing is interesting as an ambiance, showing how River feels about their new condition and their past. The format and music also add to the writing, enphasizing the feeling or surreal.

Overall, I like it. It's not grandiose or anything, but it remains very pleasant nonetheless as a Gaius piece, not necessarly adding to their storyline, but more about their feelings and personality.

Let it all pass me by, but this song, let it stay

When heaven is but a mere heartbeat away

It took me three days to write the poem itself. It took me seven months to farm my own critters from scratch. I bought critter seeds from some shady website and sowed them in my own greenhouse garden. For lightless days and starless nights I watered their leafy forms — yes, that's right, I watered you guys like little plants — until everyone's stems grew tall and strong.

Then, when the summer came, I harvested their fruits and packaged them up. I shipped them to my crit factory assembly line where they gave me SPAG checks, concept checks, all that jazz. Until finally I had enough for a TS clear, and then I repeated the process all over again.

i was suffering, and you laughegighjed
