It used to be this way, but i think that we have been trying to move away from the idea of sanity being similar to hunger (as in a vital thing you need to keep up with). While there still is sanity mentioned in articles, it is either an old page that relies on this "sanity meter " idea, or y'know people going insane normally like on earth.

The reason i say this is that i recieved critique from a GLer to remove the whole sanity part of my article.

it's always been a thing. it might be one of the many things new authors just forget about as time goes on, or it might just be the newer articles.

i think it's still a running theme, though not explicitly expressed. some entities&levels do severe damage to the wanderer's mind. i mean most do. mental stability is harmed and such, some even fracture people's minds. there's lots of madness-inducing levels.

also putting it as sanity kind of sounds like a game xd…

Maybe it never was a thing and was just something backrooms game developers created to make their games more exciting, but I remember there being sanity drop/draining in many backrooms levels. I remember this being one of the reasons why Almond water was so useful because it would stop this and help regain the wanderer's sanity. It feels like this has either gone out of fashion or something that wasn't very popular in the first place I don't know. What are your guys' thoughts and experiences about this?
