"The Caretaker" is a musician who made "Everywhere at the End of Time," a collection of six albums, or "stages," meant to represent a man's descent into dementia. Each album is increasingly more distorted than the last. The first song of the first album is called "It's Just a Burning Memory," which sounds a lot like the title of this page, hence the suspected reference.
