A wanderer, identified in this document only as "Iggi," surrendered to the Major Explorer Group and claimed to be a heretofore unknown entity. "Part-timers" hide in plain sight until they are transformed and transported as needed. They can appear as anything, anywhere. Their default appearance is human.

Part-timers prefer to blend into human communities while remaining aloof from individual wanderers. Many can be found on Level 4 and Level 11, but Iggi warns us never to underestimate their numbers.

Clinically speaking, we identify things by direct observation and study. Not only does Iggi look and act human, but a basic physical examination confirms this fact. Not to be swayed by unsubstantiated testimony, our investigators asked Iggi to transform into something else.

It must be stated, before we continue, that all M.E.G. personnel involved with this case felt a deep and disturbing sensation of uncanny valley when interacting with Iggi.1 This data was privately collected later in separate interviews.

Biology
Our skepticism dissolved when Iggi made cuts in his arm that healed as fast as he carved them. When he demonstrated what to look for, more physical anomalies began to add up. Although capable of all three, Part-timers did not need to eat, drink, or breathe.

Gone, but not forgotten
In conclusion, Iggi explained that Part-timers disappear and reappear instantly, somehow transforming into something else during that blink of an eye. You can never catch them in the process of vanishing or appearing; in the same way that if you take your eyes off the prize while pursuing a leprechaun, it simply is no longer there.
