Hello! I am just a random backrooms fan, not much to say. I want to become a writer. Hope you enjoy (you better enjoy, or els-)
I have officially exited the Backrooms as of Febuary of 2021.
I may be returning after July of 2021.

This image shows "The Courts" of Level 158. Strangely enough, no entities can be seen in the photo.
Level 158 is the 159th Level of the Backrooms. It was discovered on Friday 13/11/2020. It is a dark basketball court that repeats infinitely
Description:
This Level seems to be an infinite basketball court with multiple sections. The basketball court is full of entities, and is very dark. There are a lot of locked doors that require keys, and one has been opened. The doors lead to another strange level which was left unnamed, and has very limited information the only thing we know about it, is that it's an enclosed area similar to Level 12, but with entities. The keys can be found laying on a very high pole, and can be knocked down with a basketball.
This level can also decrease your sanity, so Almond Water is recommended.
Level Sections:
The Back Area
The Back Area is a part of the basketball court where there are only seats, nothing else. This place is where most keys are hidden, and also where a lot of entities can be found. This place is very dangerous and should be avoided, because the size of these rooms are very large.
The Basket Room
The Basket Room is a room that has basketballs all over the floor, making it hard to navigate through. This is where most Crawlers will hide. This section is also pretty dangerous, but overall, a pretty safe place in Level 158.
The Empty Room
The Empty Room is a room that is empty, only the basketball styled floor exists here, and this room is larger than most other ones. This section is also completely devoid of entities, and is a safe place to stay, but the downside is that this section is much darker than the other sections, and is where your sanity will start decreasing very fast. Almond Water is also recommended here.
The Court
The Court is where you will most likely find yourself, and where you always will spawn when you enter the level. Here you can find basketball hoops, Basketballs, and seats. The sizes of these rooms may vary, but are typically about the size of the average basketball court. Entities can spawn here, but not as many as other sections. One of the safer sections of Level 158.
The Blood Rooms
The Blood Rooms are rooms where almost everything is covered in blood. In this section entities will spawn at crazy rates, and only very experienced weapon users should go here, but even then, this is a very unsafe place. Containers can be found here that store basketballs, and inside, keys can be found. The bad part is that Crawlers spawn in the Containers quite frequently.
Entities
Entities found here include Smilers, Dullers, Facelings, Insanities, Skin Stealers, Crawlers, and Screamers. They are very common throughout this level, and it is recommended to bring a weapon, and some protection. Some sections also have a lot more entities than others, while some sections are completely devoid of entities.
Log
"The level has a lot of entities, I'll name them all here: Smilers, Dullers, Facelings, Skin stealers, Insanities, crawlers, screamers are all I found. I came from Level 7 by no clipping through the ceiling, and I havent found an exit. It's an infinite basketball court, it repeats. There are a lot of locked doors, and they need keys. I dont know where the keys are, but I think if you go in the back of a certain room, behind the entities, there is a key. I dont have a gun so I dont think I'll be able to make it behind, someone else might have to try. It also seems there are "sections"; I'm gonna list them here:
The Back: the back is a part where there is no basketball area, but only the seats, and this is where the keys most likely are.
The Full Room: this is a room that is completely filled with basketballs, makes it hard to navigate.
The Empty Room: this room is fully empty, only the "basketball styled" floor exists there.
Normal room: this is where you normally are in the level, and is a basketball room with 1 basketball, 1 hoop, a back area with seats, and sized may vary.
The Blood Rooms: these rooms have blood all over the floor, the balls, and the hoops.
I think the doors may lead to an exit, but we need to find out."
Colonies And Outposts
There are no known Colonies or Outposts on this level.
(it is thought to be possible to create a Colony or Outpost in The Empty Room)
Entrances And Exits:
Entrances
You can enter this Level by No-Clipping through the ceiling of Level 7.
You can also enter this Level by breaking an egg in The Hive.
Exits
If you find yourself in The Empty Room and you go to the edge of the court, you can no-clip through the wall and end up in Level Achromatopsia

A possible photo of Level 300 taken in 1940
Level 300 is the 301st Level of the Backrooms. It was discovered on ?/?/1940. It takes the appearance of a building in Constantinople built in 323 AD.
Description:
Level 300 takes the appearance of a building built in 323 AD. The building is almost square because it is 76×71 meters in size. The building has four massive pillars which form the central square. The pillars are connected by arcs and form hemispherical triangles. They create a crown on which the dome rests.
This level was originally thought to be the smallest, but it was later disproven. Some doors that should lead to the exit of Level 300, actually lead to another building, that looks similar but has a different structure and interior.
Entities can be found in this level, but they are infrequent. Occasionally, you may find a knight wearing a steel suit. The knight brandishes a sword. The knight is the only threat that can be found in the level.
Inside this level, you can find chests, that contain, swords, armor, Almond Water, rarely lamps, and strangely, Wifi Routers.
You can also find a trapdoor in this level that will lead to a basement lit up by torches, and inside, a chest containing a crowbar can be found. The basement floor is made up of damp sand, and the walls are made out of stone bricks.
Climbing up the stairs of the level, you can find more rooms. You can also find bedrooms that might have clothes laying on the bed. Climbing to the highest point, and looking out of the window, you will see the knight looking directly into your soul. While doing this, you can hear voices saying your name.
In the second floor, you can see bathrooms, that have storage compartments. They do not usually have anything inside, but when they do, it's usually Almond Water or a crowbar.
If you stand directly in the middle of the building and look up, you may see a text that says "323 AD" which is why it is known that this building is from 323 AD. Repeating those words will make a door appear, and that door will lead to an attic, with a level key. The key contains text, which says "β", so it is thought that this key leads to Level β. There is also a small chance of finding a key with the text level-423 written on it. It is thought that opening a locked door in the level will lead to level-423. Locked doors can be found very rarely in the basement of the level, which is where the key could be used. It is recommended not to open the door because it is unknown what awaits on the other side.
Exploration
A team of four men were recently sent to explore Level 300 and explain it more in-depth. Strangely, they saw that the level would shift between being in colour, and being black and white every time they entered. They also noted that they could break through the basement floor, mainly because it was made of sand. Underneath the floor, they found the bones of the 1946 explorer, that explored the backrooms alone for 25 years.
The explorers found out that the Wifi routers were actually there before they normally existed, which means that the backrooms can predict the future. This might mean that more futuristic objects could be found later on, in separate levels.
Another thing they found was that there is a pool area that will appear on the first floor. The pool is very rare and stretches 1 kilometer deep. Nobody has ever reached the bottom.
Breaking the wall in the basement opens an entrance to an open coffin that contains a sword, nicknamed The Blade of the Dead. The sword is more powerful than the knight's sword, and taking it will start an earthquake. The earthquake will last 1 hour, and if you survive, you can keep the sword.
Using a compass in this level will cause strange effects. The compass will start spinning very fast.
Fighting the knight was deemed impossible after it was noted that the knight could teleport out of its armor. The armor would evaporate 5 seconds after the knight teleported.
Exploration Log
This log was recorded shortly after an anonymous Reddit user entered the level.
Log 1
Day 1 Hour 0
where am I? What is this? Am I in sh4dy gr3y? Oh god, I gotta get out of here. Does anyone read me? Hello? Dammit, no signal!
Day 1 Hour 3
is anyone there yet? Come on!! At least this level is safe… I haven't spotted any hostile entities yet.
Day 1 Hour 7
Hello?? I just escaped this knight; he almost killed me. Can anyone reply to me??
Day 2 Hour 29
Anybody there yet? Yay, I'm all alone. This is great. Almost like that one level, as well as Level 1.5.
Day 2 Hour 34
Still waiting.
Signal received! Hello?
Finally! It's about time.
We are busier than you think, it takes more than a day for a reply!
I got stuck in this black and white level with this very hostile knight.
Any clues on what it is? We don't have too many similar levels in our database.
Well it says 323 AD on the roof.
Hmm, we don't have anything similar in our database. You seem to have discovered a new level.
does that mean I could be stuck here forever??
Possibly so, but that is a rare chance. How did you enter?
I went through a window in that house level
Yes!
I don't know where you are, but there is most definitely an exit somewhere. We know that Level 1.5 has an exit too, but most people would have died before exiting. Is the knight the only entity there?
The only one I have seen so far.
Okay, you will most likely find an exit before your death, we will send someone to Level 53 to find you—Good Luck in your journey.
Thanks, I hope I can make it out
Colonies And Outposts
There are no known Colonies or Outposts on this level, but there could easily be one, because this level is a good source of resources, and doesn't pose too much danger to humans.
Additional Content
A note written in 1946 was found in this Level, that read as follows:
I found an entrance to this level out of nowhere and was stuck here for a few days. I decided to leave a message for anyone that enters after me. This note contains information about this Level. No one has ever explored this Level before me, so I'll start by saying I entered this Level in 1946. I entered by travelling 1,000 miles in This really long desert road Level. There's an entity here, that has metal armor, and a sword. He is pretty dangerous, so I would recommend avoiding him. He is also the only threat in this Level, so this place is overall pretty safe. There are a lot of chests, and they all have some valuable items. There's also this strange black box with lights on it in here, and I'm not sure what it is. The box has text that says info, WLAN, and power / DSL. I do not know what any of this means, and I hope someone else could figure it out for me. Next, there is a basement that can be accessed with a trap door. Inside is just a long hallway that leads to a chest that contains a crowbar, which is useful for entering Level 27. That is all that I found, and I hope whoever is reading this can find a way out.
Entrances And Exits:
Entrances
To enter this level, you must walk 1,000 miles in Level 50. You can also enter this Level by no clipping through a window in Level 53
Another method is to no-clip through a tree in Level 47.
Exits
To exit, you must enter a basement chest and lock yourself inside. This will lead to Level 37
Another way to exit is by going as high as you can, and jumping off an edge. This method leads to Level 10, or Level -5.
There is also a possibility of exiting by going into the locked level-423 door, or, entering the Level β door.
Lastly, you could exit by no clipping through the pool. This leads to Level 8.1
The following Tale is an archived version of Log 7381. The original log is lost, but only one M.E.G. member remembers the full log. This is what he claims it was:
Begin Log:
Explorer 1: We arrived in Level -8. Have you assigned us any quests?
Tim: No, we do not have enough information to assign a quest. You are just going to explore the level for now.
Explorer 2: are we looking for something?
Tim: Not anything specific. Avoid the Tall Shadow by the way.
Explorer 3: The what?
Tim: The Tall Shadow. The entity that lives there. Avoid it or you will most likely die, or end up in extreme pain.
Explorer 3: You never said there was an entity here? I didn't think we were going to a dangerous level.
Tim: There is more than one here. You can jump in a puddle if you want to leave this quest.
Explorer 3: Where does that lead to?
Tim: Someone else reported that it lead to Level 7.
Explorer 3: Well, see you guys then. I'm heading out.
(The anonymous explorer then jumps into a puddle, and enters Level 7)
Tim: oh, wow. He actually gave up on the quest. Are you guys moving, or just standing next to the puddle that [REDACTED] jumped into?
Explorer 1: We are moving. Would you prefer if we took a route that has pipes? Or should we risk our lives and go to unexplored territory, where the entity could potentially kill us.
Tim: I'd prefer it if you went to the unexplored territory. The piped areas have already been mostly mapped. We need more exploration in the rest of the areas.
Explorer 2: I heard that the paths labeled 3 are the safest.
Explorer 1: Let's follow them then.
(The 3 explorers move on.)
Tim: is [REDACTED] still there? He has been quiet.
Explorer 1: his radio broke, and he cannot communicate.
Tim: can't he use yours?
Explorer 1: he can, yes, but he will have to get very close to me to use it, and we should be paying attention to where we are heading.
(Explorer 4 from the distance then said "This room does not have a sign labeled 3, where do we go?")
Tim: anywhere will do. Anywhere without pipes.
Explorer 2: How about we follow 4? It comes after 3 so it might be safe.
Explorer 1: That does not really prove that the route is safe. You are just coming to random conclusions now.
Explorer 2: and where do you suggest we go to then?
Explorer 1: …
Explorer 2: That's what I thought.
Explorer 1: Fine, let's just go then.
(Explorer 4 from the distance says "Guys, I'm seeing shadows")
Explorer 1: Oh, that's a bad sign. Tim, can we go back?
Tim: No. You must head forth. Discover new things. Your sacrifice will be remembered…
Explorer 1: What?
Explorer 2: Did he say sacrifice?
(Explorer 4 from the distance: "Yes he did. He really wants us to risk our lives. I'm out")
(Explorer 4 then jumps into a puddle.)
Explorer 2: Guess we are alone now.
Tim: He actually jumped? Just go forth, and stop getting distracted. You all are wasting valuable time.
Explorer 1: actually, time is stopped in this level.
Tim: Well it's not stopped here, is it?
Explore 2: Wait, how does that work?
Tim: Do not ask me. Nobody really knows. The backrooms break all laws of physics and the universe.
Explorer 1: That is true. Let's just continue. Sure, we might die, but why not.
Tim: Now that's a negative way to look at things isn't it?
Explorer 2: Yes, but it is true. We will most likely die. I've been seeing some red eyes in the corner.
Tim: Hallucinations. Nothing to do with the level. Now go on.
Explorer 1: I don't know man, I have a bad feeling in my gut.
Tim: Your gut is wrong then.
Explorer 1: and how would you know?
Tim: Can we stop arguing. Go on!
Explorer 2: Why is Tim so strict? He is risking lives for this.
Explorer 1: Well there is a puddle here. Let's stay here so that if anything goes wrong we can leave.
(Rumbling is heard.)
Explorer 2: Why is the water disappearing, jump in!
(They jump, but they are a bit too late. The water evaporated before they could jump in.)
Explorer 1: Run back!
(They both run at their top speed. Unfortunately, Explorer 2's top speed was not fast enough. He got left behind to die.)
Explorer 1: Tim! Tim! Do you read me?
Tim: Loud and clear, what happened?
Explorer 1: [REDACTED] just got pulled into the flood! He just died!
Tim: He will be missed… His sacrifice to explore this level will be remembered.
Explorer 1: It was not his choice to explore this level. You forced him to enter.
Tim: Stop saying that!
Explorer 1: I see red eyes. They're glowing more. Help. Do something!
Tim: Run.
(Explorer 1 then runs at max speed. A bit tired, he trips and falls. The Tall Shadow catches up to him. Explorer 1, trying to get up in fear, starts losing hope. He keeps falling back down because of his speed to get back up.)
Tim: Slow down a bit! You are getting up too fast!
(Screams are heard.)
Explorer 1: MY LEG! MY LEG!
Tim: what? What happened?
Explorer 1: AHHH, HE RIPPED IT OFF! IT HURTS SO BAD!! WHY DID I DO THIS?
(A few seconds later, a gunshot is heard.)
Tim: [REDACTED], what happened? Was that you, are you okay? Please respond, I do not want to be somewhat responsible for two explorers deaths! Fuck. He killed himself.
End Log:
Explorer 3 died in Level 7, Tim got indoctrinated by Jerry, and the fate of Explorer 4 is still unknown. This is still one of the most mysterious M.E.G. logs to date, not to mention it got lost in an unknown place.
Lost, you say? Well not for us… You think that this is how it went, but in reality… We took the log and provided.. false information. It makes the M.E.G. look bad, and this is what we want. If they get a bad reputation, then maybe, just maybe. We could take over? I think it is time. We have been waiting for years for this, and the chance is here. None of this really happened, but maybe it will convince you that the M.E.G. is not what you think it is.
it is not. The M.E.G. is not as powerful as you think it is. We have the power here, but we have not used it to the fullest. I think it's time, good luck. I think you should evacuate level -8 before it is too late… I'm going for you u/LcY2K07. You should expect the worst…
=)
