Hi lads! I'm Crabs Tubular (just Crabs for short), a guy from the very evil country of Canada. I've been interested in this wiki since the 2020 days, thanks to YouTubers such as Mr. Ferrante and Mr. Backrooms. Though I've only picked up on actually writing for this place recently (late 2023).
Back in 2020, I was years behind in terms of literacy due to being placed in an L.A.C. (Learning Assistance Classroom) when I was younger, which greatly hindered my development instead of helping it like it should have. Canada (or at least my province) has been slowly getting rid of these things because they hinder more than help. In these classes, I was just not taught the grammar I should've been, so I was behind in spelling and stuff. I still have issues.
It was me finding this wiki that got me into writing in my spare time, which led to me catching up in terms of grammar. I truly don't know where I'd be without this wiki! Every writer for this wiki, and any member of this community in general, for that matter, whether from 2020 or this year, has heavily influenced my life for the better, and I thank them greatly!
Outside of TS, I enjoy folk songs, history, and Nintendo games. On the side of folk song and history, I'm trying to get into British and French culture since I feel as if Canada's British and to a lesser extent French culture is slowly being replaced by American culture (in most of Anglo-Canada, this has already happened) but that's a rabbit hole I don't want to rant about in my Backrooms Wiki author page. And on the side of Nintendo Games, I just kinda like them, I don't know.
Bands I like:
- The Beatles
- The Police
- La Bottine Souriante
- Ryan's Fancy
I also have a playlist of music I consider "Backrooms-y" or that I associate with the Backrooms for personal reasons (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEUkzBeHyPmGxF7198cZSG-0lKA8dKZk1&si=irzTh2o9PxOE0f5Y)

"Can't you see it? It's in the sky! No… it IS the sky!"
This started off as a neat little idea I had when I visited a little activity place called "Activate" and took some nice pictures. The level wasn't going to be anything special at first, just your average "infinite _" with emphasis put on the various wacky games you could find. Later, I came up with the idea that the level could secretly be a structure on a planet in a universe that houses a weird Lovecraftian-like being. It was fun expanding on that idea through the M.E.G. exploration logs, which were fun to write even without the entity. I had the most fun writing the small bit of bickering the three M.E.G. explorers would get into. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this one! I'm also happy I managed to snag the Level 20 slot.

"Today, we all stand together as one perfect union. It was great during its conception, and it will be great 1000 years from now."
Funnily enough, a decent amount of this level was inspired by my home city of Winnipeg. Hell, a good majority of the images I used are of Winnipeg. Winnipeg is a city known for its long winters, so I overexaggerated that and made it a level in near constant snow. The sentient cars that tend to crash into shit is a jab at the (very true) stereotype that Winnipeggers are awful drivers. Other parts of the level are based on Canada as a whole. For example, most of the history of the habitable pockets and their union is inspired by Canadian history and the confederation of Canada. Menzies Nakamura is meant to be a Sir John A. MacDonald figure. Although it has its problems, I had a lot of fun writing it, and I hope to expand on the history of this level in the future! I'm also happy I managed to snag the Level 70 slot.

"Level 859 is the 860th Level of the Backrooms, and is a modern fast food burger restaurant referred to as "Tom Hounds.""
Meh. I don't think this one aged terribly well, but it's a first article so that's a given. I like the concept, I guess? I don't know. I might rewrite it at some point in the future, no promises though.

"Despite these webs ending up abandoned, they never rot, instead staying in a constant state of existence, almost comparable to the life of a Livingshed itself."
Super proud of this one! This is a much better attempt at writing a short classic-style article than Tom Hounds. Similar to a lot of the early classic levels, the image itself came long before the actual article, though unlike those early levels, the picture I used belongs to me. The picture was taken at the airport in Winnipeg whilst I was waiting for a flight to Abbotsford to arrive. For whatever reason, that window was full of spiders. Anyway, when the blitz was announced, I didn't want to partake at first since I wanted to focus on other stuff, but I ended up remembering the picture of the spider and thought this was a good excuse to use it. It was shortly after I came up with the idea that I did. Might be my favourite article I've written so far!
