Welcome everyone, to our special fifth anniversary¹ contest for this site! For some time now, quite a lot of people want our server banner changed, so staff decided to have the choice of the new banner be drawn and decided by the community at large!

So, our contest theme this time is for participants to create a piece of artwork that shows the design for our new server banner! Additionally, we'll add it to the rest of our social media!

Contest Rules

The dates can be found in the flowchart below.

The banner must have some connection to the community or the Backrooms in general (e.g. inclusion of our site mascot, Tesseract or featuring a level on-site)

When designing your banner, remember that it needs to fit Discord's specifications. The image itself must be 960 x 540 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The upper 48 pixels should be relatively simple so people can read the our server name. While there is an option to make it animated, we prefer a static image.

You may participate with an art that began development prior to the official announcement of the contest.

To participate, post your art in the art category on the wiki, and use the tag bannercon2025 under it. Remember to also set the parent page of your submission to this hub.

You may only submit one art page (and therefore one banner).

Any attempts to give yourself an unfair advantage will result in disqualification. What counts as this will be decided by staff on a case-by-case basis. If you aren't sure if something counts as this, please ask staff.

Unlike Mascotartcon2024, ratings will be determined by site rating.

Like with writing contests, the winner will get the contest winner role.
