This one’s good, I like it. It’s completely safe, it’s just nice. It’s good. It’s delightful, even. Why would you ever want to leave it? Well, like, you can just exit it at random so maybe it won’t be your final resting place or anything lmao. It’s inspired by Ireland a lot, but I didn’t take the photos. They’re real good photos, aren’t they? Found them while looking for photos for Level 10.

Controversial for some, especially on this site (the rewrite was first posted to Fandom with more universally positive feedback), but I’m quite happy with this rewrite. I think the images give a better vibe than the last version’s, e.g. the wheat is golden now instead of green, and I think the wheat being… well… makes it more engaging. The wheat’s lacking in nutritional content, so you’ll starve if you eat it. It won’t poison you, if that’s what you thought. But I think a page like this should give you a little room to have a different idea than I had, since the wheat being poisonous would make for a good tale. Anyways, this page gives a bit of story to a level which before was a bit of a mishmash of ideas which I thought both didn’t make the level interesting enough and ruined the liminal vibe of it. I’m a big fan of the Red Rooms as a concept, so that’s why I rewrote it! Its old page wasn’t that good. I’m a fan of the concept of it though, it’s just… pretty horrifying, right? You’re already disraught at this whole being stuck in the backrooms thing and then you make a wrong turn and you’re trapped forever. And you see this tally on the wall, but nobody around to have written it. So who wrote it, and what happened to them… OH.

this is a desolation canon page which is level 4. wouldn't you believe it?? well ok so this is a pretty interesting one — i actually had a whole thing about trying to figure out how to boil water on level 4 in the discord server, until we just realised i could add kettles. so, that's why those are there. there'll be a sub-level out soon for this one which'll be called 'the hospital', stay tuned.

I got Greenlight Exemption from this page (which wasn’t posted with a greenlight, it was a collaboration with Mctoran who had the exemption already. Same for Keyrol, and Warpberries was posted within a contest.) I really shouldn’t have gotten the exemption in my opinion looking back, but whatever. ‘s fine, don’t even worry. Anyway, Catmaster! Love this guy! Well, mostly. Started as a joke between me and Mctoran about how the Keymaster works (spoilers, the Keymaster is a regular guy wearing a cloak that turns him into the Keymaster, by fusing his consciousness with that of the Gatekeeper from the Pantheon.) where a cat bites off a bit of the cloak and becomes a Keymaster cat. It stands to reason that the cat has no human personality to mess with Gatekeeper’s, so the cat is just Gatekeeper in a cat body. Hilarity ensues, he’s humiliated.

This isn’t my entity idea, it’s really Justa’s page. But I’m including it here, since I did some of the writing, all the CSS, and most importantly the idea for the format, which I think is pretty fun. The concept for the entity is amazing, I’m such a fan! And the format was inspired by, uh, some SCP I read sometime, I know one of them included an edit differences view recreation. I actually grabbed the html for a real edit comparison of the two revisions from my sandbox for this, so it’s not manual! Anyways, Umari is next up in this series of entities, stay tuned.

This was my first article here, and it really shows! That wasn’t the plan, though, I was going to post an entity first, that’ll be in the abandoned concepts section. I am not proud of this one’s execution at all, the writing is terrible and the CSS is… it’s alright, it does what it needs to. Saved it in the contest, hah! It got second place in objectcon2022, obviously more thanks to the CSS than anything else (Sky’s scathing review on the page really encapsulates my feelings on it now, though I disliked the review at the time…) This page will certainly be rewritten one day, since the concept is nice.

Boring’s right, this concept sucks. But I think it’s the sort of thing the M.E.G. would write about, if they see a pattern like this with the Pantheon. So, yeah! Mickey wrote his own version of the little experiment log, which caused me to make it not a collab anymore XD. No shade, but he wasn’t subtle enough with it. In his, the guy sees the full image and SCREAMS OUT and then starts BABBLING INCOMPREHENSIBLY BLEUH BLEUH BLBLJBLJKEYMASTERNBJDSIDSFO!! So yeah I made it more restrained. This story might continue.

Quite meh. Sorta funny at times. I’ve seen an account on tumblr use the blushing keymaster as a PFP, which is delightful. I might redraw the illustrations here one day, they were crammed in real late at night to release it on Christmas Eve. In my timezone, it released at 20:49 on the eve. I don’t plan to rewrite this though, it’s, like, it’s fine. Don’t even worry about it.

This page is really boring in my opinion and the CSS is sorta broken nowadays. It’s about the idea that the real world could slowly transition into the Backrooms, which I do like and am going to use in Desolation Canon. But this is a really boring way to do it in my opinion, it’s too short. If you’re wondering what’s going on, as you well might be since it’s super vague, then it’s about a girl and her mother being on the road and the road getting all weird and liminal. The mother is in this sort of liminal daze, which is like desolation from Desolation Canon. If this were a Desolation page, which I might rewrite it to be, it would end with the girl finding her mum’s become a faceling and leaving the car.

The start of Industrialization Canon! The new one. For real! The art’s by eggi and the CSS and writing are my work. Justin is the Overseer-A of this canon, and he’s a little immature (the three of them are, but it’s most obvious in him.) He’s very quick to accept Yellow’s offer, since he’s already on thin ice as it seems he isn’t doing a lot for the M.E.G… but how far will he double down if things turn sour? Bleuhhh foreshadowing. Next tale is “What’s Your Problem?” and the next one I’m writing is the rewrite of “Flip to B Side”.

Backrooms Guide2 July 2023

This sets up the rules of this new Desolation Canon I'm making pretty well, I think — it's a pretty natural way to introduce the low level and entity count and such. Egglord did a good job on the 3d render for the page background, and Ratif was so good to bluelight it — it's my first Astral Ink Co-op page! That just means it's had to deal with a quite high quality requirement before posting lmao. Bluelight!

This page is alright. Was gonna include a lot more than it did, and this guy will be used for something. The art is ok. It’s the start of a canon where George McCarson takes over the B.N.T.G., which is a good idea for a canon. The article is well-written. The art is terrible, it’ll be replaced. Probably won’t be rewritten, though. Bill started as my RP character, he was always a graffiti artist but most other things about him were different. Weirdo!

If you were going to use Indus theme for anything, please please please PLEASE use this instead. It's nicer, it's more readable, it's based on UEC theme which makes it awesome, all the good stuff. This is the actual theme used on the Industrialization Canon Hub even!

These guys are the OGs. This was the first page I was working on, before I was even a wiki member OR a member of TS. I just knew Snom through reddit.
Concept: Entities based off the creepy second person in a thispersondoesnotexist photo. They're fake friends who people think they've known for years, and they reproduce by like melding onto the person and then they become one of them or something. I might come back to these guys one day.
Why not? Well, it was an abandoned draft of mine for ages, and I don't go back to it often because it was my first one and it isn't very well-written. Also it's like Alba's imperceptibles.

Concept: Interactive page which makes you click a button over and over and it gives you more of the story. Not sure what I actually was going to do with it past that.
