Seen above is the first example of what some say is the main reason they were drawn to the site of McGallagher’s House of Fun. A small portion of interviewees and individuals surveyed claimed they received similar notices in the mail back in The Frontrooms around the month of October, similar to those who received identical adverts at their residences and homes on various levels here, in The Backrooms. Only a handful of those we spoke to claimed to have properly discovered and experienced McGallagher’s House of Fun.

Don’t be shy! Come along and enjoy the fun!

Based on firsthand accounts from those who have gone through McGallagher’s House of Fun, the pamphlet transcribed above has proven to be a helpful guide when traversing the House of Fun. However, it should be noted that the attractions found within this space are far more treacherous than the lighthearted and playful depictions shown in the paper pamphlets.

Those who have experienced McGallagher’s House of Fun including the original exploratory group that discovered it say that it appears to be in a state of abandonment. Although it could just be the level’s state of being, the fact that the whole level seems to operate autonomously when people are present seems to indicate that it might be the doing of the level itself or one of its inhabitants.

The Rooms

All who enter this level will come across the same instances of rooms, although these rooms vary in size, shape, and detail for each person.

The Main Lobby

The first room everyone enters once reaching this level, and the one that stays the most consistent for everyone. The lobby is a half-circle concourse featuring multiple closed ticket stands and an open set of doors to the next room. Rope barriers act as funnels leading wanderers toward the ticket booths. Despite them being unoccupied, they seemingly deposit pamphlets and tickets automatically as people approach.

Unfortunately, this is around the time people will realize the way they came in has been replaced by a solid wall, and all the people who had joined them are seemingly gone. This is theorized to be a method of entrapping and forcing wanderers to continue, since once a wanderer fully enters the main lobby, the doorway back automatically vanishes. Thankfully, entities seem to avoid the general lobby area.

The Maze of Mysteries/Mirror Maze

Described in the pamphlet as a room with reflective surroundings, the entire space of The Maze of Mysteries is composed of a multitude of mirrors and glass panels making a confusing reflective labyrinth. The dim and moody magenta lighting is known to make differentiating the paths difficult, though people have found shortcuts in the form of broken mirrors and glass panes. Either way, it may take up to an hour of constant navigation for a wanderer to figure out their way to the next space or a possible exit.

Unfortunately, people can often find hounds in this section of McGallagher’s House of Fun. They are known to lurk and move amongst the maze and other portions of the level with ease. It isn’t uncommon that wanderers attempting to use the broken mirrors as shortcuts will happen upon them and their nests.

Despite the danger, it is possible to escape the level early in The Maze of Mysteries. An individual with impaired vision (required glasses to see due to nearsightedness) claimed to call for an employee as the pamphlet suggested, which suddenly caused them to be transported back to Level 0. Otherwise, wanderers may have to continue throughout the entirety of McGallagher’s House of Fun to leave.

Hungry Harold’s Food Paradise/Food Court

The next step in a wanderer’s journey through the level, Hungry Harold’s Food Paradise is a large space featuring multiple themed fast food restaurants and seating areas for eating. Much like the mirror maze, the food court is dimly lit and decorated with odd and old-fashioned cartoonish art. Although it is possible to find food here, a majority of what can be found is stated to be rather bland and greasy.

A major danger on this level seems to be a unique entity found in this area and others later on within McGallagher’s House of Fun known as Hungry Harold, as stated in the pamphlets. He is often depicted accurately in some of the wall decorations as a large, tall, and rotund man dressed in old attire, though the only consistency in his appearance besides his height and weight seems to be his combover and large eyes. More can be read about him and other inhabitants of this level in the appropriate section.

The Fall of Fate/Jungle gym

A section of long corridors after the food court, The Fall of Fate contains multiple sets of nets and trampolines that ascend vertically in a still dimly lit room. The biggest concern for wanderers here seems to be the possibility of falling distances, since many of the obstacles that people are meant to traverse are multiple meters off the ground. Regardless of this, there also continues to be the dangerous presence of hounds and the addition of smilers which lurk in the higher portions of the way to the next room.

Tent of The Mystic Glaknar/Rest Area

Acting as a sort of respite from the dangers of the previous rooms, The Tent of The Mystic Glaknar contains simple benches and surreal paintings for viewing. Depictions of these paintings vary widely between accounts, though it is clear that they are inconsistent between instances of this section of the level. The only consistency seems to be the round shape of the level, its simple layout, and the existence of a booth housing The Mystic Glaknar.

Much like the mirror maze, it is possible to escape McGallagher’s House of Fun early. Approaching The Mystic Glaknar at his booth and begging them with enough conviction has been known to consistently transport wanderers to Level 906. It is unclear why this happens to be the spot where The Mystic Glaknar sends wanderers, though it can be assumed that they have been told about it in prior conversations with wanderers who show up in their room.

McGallagher’s Home/Escher Room

Unlike the previous room, McGallagher’s Home is a vast sprawling manor complex resembling the works of M.C. Escher, folding and existing at countless peculiar angles. Furniture and rooms will be positioned sideways or upside down, making it impossible for them to be used. Unlike countless other portions of the level, McGallagher’s Home is well-lit and comparably easy to see within.

The overall decor of this portion of the level is rustic and almost themed as if it were a Western American cabin, featuring a variety of taxidermied animals and trophy pieces. Much like The Tent of The Mystic Glaknar, there is very little consistency in the specific layout of the spaces that make up these sets of rooms.

One constant in this portion of the level is the existence of Mister McGallagher himself. He is stated to be surprisingly rude, although he will brag about his “travels,” and stories of what is presumably the fictional place in which McGallagher’s House of Fun is based. It is yet again possible to escape this level by begging and pleading with Mister McGallagher. If a wanderer is successful, they have a chance of being taken to any random level.

The Marble Kingdom/Escape

One of the last and most treacherous portions of this level’s gauntlet is The Marble Kingdom or The Kingdom of The Marble Queen. Accessed via one of the doors in McGallagher’s home, the “kingdom” consists of an indoor mock-up of a moody, dark castle courtyard. Among the bleach-white bushes, fences, statues, and seating areas is the main castle itself, containing a gothic-style cathedral interior.

Entities in the form of white knights patrol and stand guard around the castle, although the majority of the time wanderers enter this space, some form of service will be ongoing within the castle. It is impertinent that wanderers remain stealthy around the kingdom, as catching the attention of the castle guard or The Marble Queen herself can lead to certain death. The Marble Queen according to wanderers seems to be slightly more merciful than her guard.

Escaping the kingdom requires navigating the complex maze of halls within. However, a majority of people struggle to define whether or not the layout of the maze changes and morphs to be larger than originally perceived. This sudden extension is difficult to verify given the inconsistency of the size of each room per person.

Regardless of the length of the chase, this signifies the last portion of the journey. Although it can be categorized as another section, researchers simply lump this chase in with the general kingdom section. Unfortunately, it might take nearly half an hour to escape through the labyrinthian castle. Additionally, it isn’t uncommon for the other named entities from the other previous rooms except The Mystic Glaknar to appear and chase the wanderer.

After running for long enough, traversing a gradually twisting and shifting castle, dodging the knights, The Queen, and the other entities, a wanderer will successfully find themself in the exit, as abrupt as it might be.

Entity Files and Notes

File name: 1-956

Description
Referred to commonly as “Hungry Harold” by those who know of them, 1-956 stands at approximately two meters (footnote: Approximately 6 feet.) and is speculated to weigh approximately two hundred and seventy kilograms (footnote: Approximately 600 pounds.).
Hungry Harold’s attire tends to vary, though he is always depicted with suspenders and a button-up shirt in most illustrations. Still, these always tend to be old-fashioned. With this is their aforementioned combover, which is also clear in illustrations that can be found throughout their respective space within McGallagher’s House of Fun.

Behaviors
A majority of Hungry Harold’s behaviors revolve around their insatiable hunger for things to eat, extending to other living beings. If a wanderer can’t hear their footsteps approaching, they’ll certainly hear their cries and demands for various foods from afar. Because of this, it is incredibly easy to trick and distract Harold with food and drinks. If desperate, Harold will at times resort to eating entities such as wandering hounds or smilers that they come across.

Hungry Harold is rarely ever found outside the food court region that makes up their respective room. However, during the escape from The Kingdom of The Marble Queen, they will often appear to lumber after the fleeing wanderer. Surprisingly, whilst distracted with eating, Hungry Harold can be spoken to, though this is to a limited degree. The limit to their conversation predictably stops at food, eating, and how hungry they are.

It is advised that wanderers avoid being close to Hungry Harold.

File name: 2-956

Description
The Mystic Glaknar, as they are called, is one of the only two entities found within this level that can be reasoned with. Regardless of whether they’re passive, Glaknar is seemingly confined to a booth within their tent, making it incredibly easy to find and speak with them. Their form is consistent, having a singular eye for a head, four arms, and a casual business suit. They are almost always gazing down at a glowing sphere which they seem to utilize, though the properties of this sphere are unclear.

Behaviors
When encountered, The Mystic Glaknar will usually prompt the wanderer to approach them. Despite the hostility of most other entities on this level, Glaknar is entirely passive. Regardless, it seems that Glaknar is entirely confined to the booth within their section.

The majority of the time wanderers speak with The Mystic Glaknar, they will be questioned on what brought them there, and if they would like a fortune read to them. As exciting as the prospects of these fortunes might be, they are most often vague and could apply to almost any daily scenario. Besides this, Glaknar does often offer words of advice in regards to the level and how to successfully escape it. This information often consists of elaborations of the blurbs within the pamphlet provided.

Glaknar

The Mysterious Glaknar as-described.

File name: 3-956

Description
Mister McGallagher himself dresses in a quite fanciful and elaborate velvet red suit and bowler hat. Similar to The Mystic Glaknar, Mister McGallagher is mostly passive, though they are known to be very boastful and self-centered. The main threat of McGallagher–when they’re upset at least–is their rifle, which they carry around with them everywhere they go.

Behaviors
Aside from being boastful, Mister McGallagher has an incessant habit of twirling his mustache constantly when speaking. In addition, they hum and whistle to themself, making it quite easy to detect them. Other than their odd habits, Mister McGallagher has a strong desire to recount stories of their travels and hunts to wanderers who arrive at their home.

It is important to note that Mister McGallagher can easily become hostile if insulted, questioned, or spoken to in the wrong manner. If this occurs, they will most often resort to chasing the wanderer in some kind of odd hunting ritual, letting them flee before taking potshots at them with his rifle. It isn’t clear why they partake in this, though if their stories are anything to go off of, they enjoy the thrill of the hunt.

File name: 4-956

Description
The most dangerous of the main entities found here, The Marble Queen only stands at around 1.6 meters (footnote: approximately five feet five inches.) tall, though she appears in an elaborate and flowing dress and spiky crystal crown. Her skin, much like her dress is a clean white marked by the sparkles and dark streaks. This gives her a serious and statuesque appearance, much like her guards.

Behaviors
Aside from patrolling her castle, The Marble Queen often stops to do some form of sermon or speech to an audience of her guards. Those who have stayed quiet and hidden long enough have also witnessed her playing some sort of song at the large organ at the center of her castle. However, if a wanderer does anything to be spotted, she ceases all actions to pursue the wanderer, shouting and ordering her guards to chase.

Entrances and Exits

Entering McGallagher’s House of Fun

The process of reaching/finding McGallagher’s House of Fun starts once someone receives the advertisement for the location. Once this happens, there is a constant possibility of a wanderer being randomly transported to the main lobby with every random door they enter or exit through. There is no other known way to reach this level, although research is underway to discover how possessing the advert causes this mysterious transportation.

Leaving McGallagher’s House of Fun

Unlike entering the level, there is a multitude of ways to leave it. Firstly, a majority of people will exit the level by making it through to the end. Once reaching the exit door at the end of The Kingdom of The Marble Queen, wanderers can be taken to nearly any level. The place which they are taken to appears to be random, and no pattern seems to exist when it comes to exiting.

Other more consistent exits are as follows:

  • Level 0 can be accessed by those who have vision impairments in the Maze of Mysteries section.
  • Level 906 can be reached if wanderers beg The Mystic Glaknar enough.
