Okay, I'm a Database Maintenance Member for The M.E.G.. And they told me to record any strange findings on the Database when you come across them. And here I am. Writing this now. I'll list my findings here.
While on my duty I had discovered an oddity within the Normal Level List. I'll link it here just incase. (http://www.meg-archive.com/normal-level-list-1)
Basically what I had found is that the entry link for Level 924 was missing between 923 and 925. I have a theory as to why but I can't really confirm shit right now.
What I think happened was that the entry was simply deleted.
You know what? I'll just go find it. It might have been archived and it could've been important.
Yup, found it. And from what the link says, it was archived. I guess my theory is somewhat confirmed.
It seems to have been archived years ago, but the entry on the list just disappeared. Well, here it is anyways.Dear god that header. This is an old entry.
Level 924 is the 925th Level of The Backrooms.
Description:
Level 924 is a large vibrant and colorful city where many people seem to live in happiness. There are two main areas that are held in the Level. A suburban area and a town. All houses and apartments hold a family of people that live in Level 924.
The pacing of this entry is already horrible. At least some other parts of the SPaG is somewhat bearable.
The suburban area holds many houses and parks. All are habitable and is safe for life. The houses are fully furnished and has working electricity. All kitchens have food that is restocked by the people buying supplies at the stores. Water towers can be seen in many places. All are the source of the people's water supply. Level 924 has many different people living here all working together to create an eco system. Running stores and restaurants and other jobs. Everyone is happy.
Wait, people live here? Jobs!? Supplies!?
The town area is where everyone drives to work and complete their daily tasks to feed their family. The jobs themselves can range from small cashier jobs to working at nuclear power plants. All tech in this Level can range from the 40's to the 60's era. Currency is used here to buy supplies for the many families. Entities don't seem to appear here. Just the many different people and pets with normal lives.
Level 924 Is great for the population of The Backrooms as supplies here seems to be infinite. Everything here is just perfect normal life.
Bases, Outposts and Communities:
None at the current moment. But we will try to send as many people here as we can in the near future.
Entrances And Exits:
Entrance:
Find a 50's era poster of a foamily with a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Place your hand over it and wish to be there. We've been collecting the posters to soon give out to the people. We will soon all be safe.
Exits:
We wouldn't need to leave. We have everything we need here. Everything here is perfect.
'foamily'? You couldn't fix that? This doesn't even have a page navigator either.
So wait, you're telling me that this level can house our entire population and feed almost everyone in The Backrooms and the entry was almost deleted?
For what? Rewrite reasons? This needs to be shown to the people!
Why are we suffering in this hellscape when we can go there!?
We can be safe! Have families! Have a normal life! I need to go find these posters. I need to see for myself. I'll use this as a journal thing:
- Day 1: Going out to find the posters. making my way towards Level 4 from 11. Shouldn't be too hard. Just need to find a building to get me there. EDIT: Found one that leads to 3!
- Day 2: Well, after hours of walking and a close encounter with a Hound I feel like I'm getting cloa- Just heard a scream. Just keep going. I'll be back.
- Day 4: Just got to Base Gamma, and they gave me some supplies to last and they took me to an elevator. Hopping in now. Please lead to Level 4. Aaaaaand with my luck I've reached Level 5! Sigh… I should've just looked for a Level 4 entrance back in 11.
- Day 5: Open a door to find a swarm of Deathmoths! Just what I needed! No wonder why I didn't get this exploration job. With my constant complaining and all. It says here to find an old staircase that will lead to Level 4 and I have never seen a damn staircase in 5 in my life, but I got to keep going.
- Day 8: Found a staircase! I can finally get to Level 4! Nothing else unusual back in Level 5 maybe besides the fact that I thought I saw a weird face in the wallpaper, but it must have been my imagination.
- Day 9: Well, found Base Omega! I basically found an M.E.G. Track Mappers Team heading back to base and I decided to tag along. Now, time to ask the people if they have any kooky posters of an overly happy family kept in the storage area. EDIT: No luck here. Even went through the storage rooms myself. Not a trace of anything. They told me to check Level 1 Base Alpha. They gave me a Frequency GPS so it should be easier now.
- Day 11: It's been well over a week by now and I found an elevator. Level 4's entry hasn't been updated yet but it said that elevators or stairways can lead back to Level 3. Let's hope they can also lead to Level 1 too. I don't wanna go back there. EDIT: I'm back there.
- Day 12: Phew! With a quick stroke of luck I found a door that leads to Level 2 under 24 hours! Surprising knowing myself. I'll put anything I find here.
- Day 13: I went to Office Space EL3A for a quick break since I've been wandering for days now and the GPS thingy had the place pre-marked so here I am. I'll be back to wandering the next day with some rest.
- Day 14: Back on my feet and I have found another doorway and I'm about to open it. And guess what? It's 4 again. I better keep moving, I hear something in the vents.
- Day 16: Found another door that lead to Level 1! I saw a Clump chasing after me and I escaped it by closing the door behind me and ran quite a far distance from where I entered. The GPS has Base Alpha marked and even Trader's Keep. I'm heading towards Base Alpha right now. I hope I don't have to search the Vault either.
- Day 17: I made it to Base Alpha! Fairly easy from this handy GPS. I heard it was a new invention from The M.E.G. but that is besides the point, because I found the posters! A whole 4 piles of them! It's pretty crazy how much they have stored. I asked why these haven't been given out and they had no idea why. Well, I took one and I'll go ahead and use it now that I'm out of the base. I'll post this entry back on the Level List with my writing here for all of you to see and I'll tell you guys what happens the next day.
- Day 18: This place is so beautiful! I have to take notes of everything here. So, I'm on a road next to a bunch of houses. Each house is brightly colored. Yellows, pinks and bright blues. Cars are from the 40's to 60's era that the entry mentions. The people here are wearing clothes from the same era. I have no idea if the people here are entities or actual people but this place is already amazing. The bright blue sky, the bright green perfectly cut grass. Everything! There is also some old siren poles mentioning tings like "The war is ending soon and everything already seems to be peace.", "You are no longer in danger from the war." and so on… Hold up, someone here is trying to get my attention.
- Day 19: I can't believe it! I have met this amazing family, a mother, father and 3 kids. They let me stay at their house since I had nowhere to go! I even had dinner with them last night! it was pasta and it looked perfect! tasted perfect too! Although it did feel a bit rocky. Like I ate a bunch of powder but it felt and tasted amazing! We've talked for hours! Including the war that is coming to an end! I even have my own room too! Kind of embarrassing since my nose keeps bleeding. I'm not prone to nose bleeds so I'm not sure what's going on there, but do I care? No!… My mouth is bleeding… What a beautiful place!
- Day 20: I'm having a blast! Walking across the beach! My skin is a little red. I used some skin cream but it just made it itch more and it won't go, but it's fine! I've only had a few seizures and I feel great! Still bleeding and all of my hair is gone but everything is great! I never want to leave!
M.E.G. Incident Report:
A deceased body of undetermined gender and origin was found laying on the ground in a fetal position on it's right side in Level 4. The body is highly irradiated and is crusted black as if it was burnt. With the very few hazmat suits we have, we sent two M.E.G. personnel to escort the body to Base Omega for more analysis.
The lab reports have shown the subject had internal bleeding with over one thousand (1000) grams of ashes, rocks and wood powder found in the stomach of the subject. The subject was hurt greatly from this. The cause of death, however, was high doses of radiation, which concludes the cause to be radiation poisoning.
The M.E.G. are trying to find out the origin of the body and where they have died for the safety of all wanderers. Stay safe.
