SageOfGoats,
I am not sure that “a simple ‘about the level’ page, no fancy story or anything, using a picture I took myself” will be quite enough by the Backroom’s quality standards of today. Might have been sufficient five years ago. We have evolved so much.
But it is a g-r-e-a-t start! You have a vision and an illustration.
Figure out how your page fits into the Backrooms and add links to any pages about things (levels, entities, objects, phenomena, and groups, et cetera) that might have a connection to your idea. You do not need to add a “fancy story,” but a brief narrative or dialogue describing how your page impacts its surroundings add a human-interest element to your creation. Why should the reader care? What makes your idea interesting? What makes this page meaningful to you, other than the fact that you are the author?
There are no rules against a stand-alone page, against a single star shining in the darkness, if it sparkles enough. Now imagine the wonder that a sky full of stars inspires. My friends and colleagues here have created a heavenly tapestry of beautiful stars. Will your star join a few to become a constellation? Our Backrooms is greater than the sum of its pages. Please be a “part” of it and let your starlight shine through.
