We all have a choice to make when we read something from a fellow creator.
We can be harsh or we can be kind.
Yes, there were issues with punctuation and word choice. But I stuck it out through the l-o-n-g chase because the character began to matter to me. I kept telling her "Don't do that!" I groaned at her every poor choice in judgement. Has she no "street smarts?" It's only a wallet. No good deed goes unpunished. There were two long chases going on here.
The author did their best to create suspense. This is the Backrooms and the reader more than likely knew how this would end. Still… I felt the effort as the author chased after the story.
I chose to be kind.
