Hey everyone!
The staff team and the Greenlighters team have been talking for quite a bit about pages. We feel that the current system isn't working. 1. It burns out writers 2. It burns out the GL team 3. It makes critique a slog rather than a positive experience for all involved.
So after some discussion, it has been decided that we're loosening posting requirements somewhat in exchange for some other things. Without further ado, here's what it'll look like:
To post on the wiki, you will need 3 critiques from 3 different people each being 500 characters (roughly 100 words) or you can ask a Greenlighter to give you a greenlight. After you've gotten the 3 critiques or the greenlight, show either staff or a Greenlighter the proof of critique, and you will get the password.
Additionally, in exchange for these laxer rules, we are raising the deletion threshold. The new deletion threshold is +10 for tales and +15 for non-tales. Pages that do NOT have any downvotes will not be deleted even if they're below the threshold.
Also, we will be removing Greenlight Exemption. It will no longer exist, and for those who have it, we ask that you go through the system like everyone else.
Ideally, what we want to create from this new system is a culture of quality critique, and therefore, high quality pages on the wiki. Our eventual goal is to lower the deletion threshold back down to -1 for pages, but we need your help to do so.
This system will be implemented at the end of the month, on MAY 31. Any critique that you have gotten before this period will count, so long as it meets the requirements of being 500 characters.
