i think that in the backrooms generally sadness is good. many good entities(like partypoopers and frowners). i wonder why

Well,
It's not necessarily about sadness that makes it good entity.
There was a just an era where a lot of entity like smilers and partygoers were happy go murder free.

So, they obtained counterparts as reaction to this trend.
Same thing with skin stealers and skin giver.

Also warning kites are good entities without being sad themed.

in general, horror really likes taking something generally happy (e.g. clowns) and twist them in a horror way, the backrooms are no different, lots of happy things are distorted into horror, on the contrary sad is seen as negative, and the opposite of happy, so it turns into a weird twist where the happy things are evil, and the sad things are good

Because of this thread, I would love to see someone create an entity that is always angry, but is a good entity overall
