Hello!

I've been interested in Backrooms content, and especially stuff on the Wikidot, for a couple years now. I finally decided to create an account and join. I have a few ideas that I'd like to contribute, and may end up writing some of them at some point, but that depends on how much free time I have (I'm a uni student and it can get pretty busy at times).

I also tried writing a SCP a few years ago. Unfortunately I had to give up because I just didn't have enough free time for it, but hopefully things go better for me on this wiki. And I'm pretty familiar with the greenlighting process since it's similar to the SCP Wiki.

I had ideas for a level, an entity, and an object, but unfortunately I discovered that my level and object ideas are very similar to articles that already exist, which just leaves the entity. (The level idea may still be salvageable at some point though).

Just one question. Getting greenlit on the SCP Wiki required two greenlighters iirc, but on the Backrooms Wikidot it seems like you only need one greenlighter. Is this correct?

Hello, welcome to the Backrooms wiki. I am (as a nickname) the most active user on the wiki, since the others use Discord, but I can't. Anyway, regarding your question, yes, you only need one Greenlight to be able to publish an article on this site. If you need anything else you can ask me or the staff members as well.

Don't worry about your studies, I understand that it is very difficult. But with effort you can keep going.

Don't worry if some ideas of levels, entities or objects are repeated. On the wiki there are already some articles about space/universe, hospitals, fields, etc. In fact, a recent article of mine about an entity that is a very bizarre planet has to do with space. I would recommend reading some primary articles (from level 0 to level 99 or level 100), so that you get an idea. And when you want to create an atmosphere for a level, some that I recommend (which do give an eerie atmosphere) are Level 18.1 and Level 854.

I have joined the Discord but am still waiting for verification there atm.

I will definitely try to salvage my level idea in the future. I don't think I can do anything with the object idea, because it was basically the same as Bottled Lightning except it's inside a glass orb rather than a glass jar and with a few minor differences (not enough to make it unique).

The level idea was going to be set in infinite World War 1 trenches, and I've realised the setting is very similar to existing Level 49 (although my idea aims to have quite a different atmosphere full of tension and suspicion). I may revisit this idea after I'm done with the entity, but I still think it'll be too similar to Level 49 unless I change the setting.

Even if it's too similar to Level 49 to stand on its own, you can make your idea a sublevel of 49. I do think it has a few actually. And welcome!
