good gravy this is a huge improvement over ur first iteration u oughta b proud of yourself. massive props 2 having the gall 2 get back up and try again !! this isn’t a super high-concept level, but ur execution is solid enough that i think this could b a keeper (and it paves the way 4 u 2 try out more interesting concepts later) !! excellent work
This is a solid step up from your previous version. Most issues I had with the level were minor, though the log was a big detract from the level.
Goodness, wikidot has a weird account system. What's this weird forum signature thi
Just about nothing has been changed since the critique I gave you this morning. For posterity, my main issues were the boring setting, the lacklustre concept of the people, the unnecessary addition of the cats and the robotic interview log. As none of these have been fixed, I'm downvoting this.

the page just could do with a lot more fleshing out of its ideas. i like the setting, but it needs some more. It feels like it's pulling its punches, not going in-depth. the condos are cool but they're all empty - why not write about some more interesting things that could be found inside? the park is pretty, but most of its details feel glossed over. the concept of there being paths that lead to darkness and nothing outside of the area being visible is quite visually cool, but there needs to be some more to it.
barely anything is known about this level. things that you explicitly state are unknown are:
- the origin of the smell
- the validity of reports of wanderers finding bottles of almond water
- the properties of black voids
- the language spoken by we, the people
- how the lamps are able to remain lit
but most other things are also not really known about, like why the buildings are empty, or why the people are the way they are, or the cats, or really anything on this level.
the level doesn't have an air of mystery, it just feels like it says nothing. so that's why i'm giving it a novote — it wasn't really very bad but i didn't really find much of value in it
that being said, it's a massive improvement from the previous version, and i'll be looking forward to how you improve in the future!

This page was honestly god-awful at first, with almost no description of stuff and that weird MEG interview. THe revision really made this so much better!
