are they?
Perhaps, thoug I would consider them extremely powerful. My question is, what makes a god a god? (And no, I'm not talking about the God of the Abrahamic Covenant. I simply wish to speak of the Backrooms.)
My entire life has boiled down to this moment. This keyboard. What I write to you now is my blood, shed for your amusement.
My question is, what makes a god a god?
I've often wondered this — in terms of fiction writing. How is a god different from your run-of-the-mill, available on sale at Costco or Tesco at an affordable price, supernatural being? What is the secret?
I have to wonder if the fact a god is worshipped plays a part in the matter. Or maybe it's just that they only come from a specific Backrooms level?
My thought of a god is any being that has any powers beyond those that normal technology can create i.e.:teleportation creation etc
It really depends, in a monotheistic religion the god has infinite power. While in a polytheistic religion, gods have alot of power, but not quite infinite. It really just depends on perspective.
does anyone see these forum signatures, also why does this have more space than the description
No, they are however, significantly more powerful than majority of other listed entities and are entirely unique
I'm justice!…What?…No not the blind folded girl!
one could call them that, i guess, but it really depends. also, the humans aren't the only one with the entity 1 designation…

According to statistics, 56.25% of Enigmatic Entities are part of the Pantheon canon, which is very much about gods. So generally speaking, yes.
I wouldn't consider enigmatic entities "gods" but I would consider many of them deities or highly powerful beings. I don't think any could fit under the designation of a god, but that is just my opinion.

I've got a question:why we are so keen on the concept "god" itself? Many articles regarding to the pantheon literally confused me cos I don't really understand how the "gods" in ancient Greek or Cthulhu or Bible has anything to do with the backrooms…
The Pantheon are not really “based” on Greek Mythology or the Cthulhu Mythos, although it may share similar themes and aesthetics. However, it is very much an original narrative with original characters in the backrooms lore.
Not God's, per se, but enigmatic nonetheless, hence their designation.
Like in earlier posts, it all comes down to what makes a god?
Personally, as I just posted about there being the chance to meet anyone from any universe in another thread, I would love to see Rimuru Tempest in the Backrooms. He has total control over spacetime and the fabric of reality itself, and create entire universes from nothing. I would love to see how that competes with the Gods of the Backrooms, and how that holds up.
Because thats an anime character who is literally the best definition of a god I think I 've ever seen.
