This is one of three Level 7-oriented rewrites which effectively overhaul the level (the other two being the Thing On Level 7 and Tiny) and I hope they make Level 7 feel more… understandable, I guess.
Moral of the story: Don't go to Level 7. This is a good example of a very well written hostile level. It's not overdone but it's still definitely not somewhere I would want to go
this level doesn't fit the in with the backrooms at all its just an ocean with a few monsters, its not a liminal space, its only scary to a specific group, the liminal archives version of this should be a template as to what this level should be

behold my poorly written rant about lvl 7

Get a submarine down here and you're golden.
- K
While that is a good idea, how would you get a submarine here.
~🌱
How would you get a submarine in The Backrooms in general.
In fact, how would you get a submarine in general? That stuff is expensive, and since the level is presumably infinite in all directions, that means a pretty good Submarine is probably required.
~🌱
And you can't just go out and buy it, because nobody has a submarine, because that's not how noclipping works. Maybe you search The Backrooms for years, trying to gather all the parts for one, then you track down an engineer to build it, and… Yeah, no.
Just look up the crafting recipe for a submarine on google, and do some off-camera mining.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE.
there is a wiki called the backrooms wiki, and its a glorious wiki, although it has its issues, I am proud to be a part of it, it stands for variety, it stands for creativity, and it stands for quality. one of the only backrooms wikis where levels like level 23, level 246 and level 37 can co exist! long live the backrooms wiki. the backrooms wiki, 2020-2024.
Funny how the M.E.G haven't wipe them out yet.
I probably can't say much here which hasn't already been said by others but I will state some specific grievances I have.
The strikethrough text. I don't think it adds much to the article and it feels like a gimmick.
Many others have said this before but this level is pretty much guaranteed to just kill you and there's no way people could have explored so much of it because they would have died due to various reasons.
Along with that, explanations as to why they wouldn't kill (They still would because of water pressure. You go down too deep, you will just die.) feel more like excuses and not logical reasons.
The bases section uses a cult that never has its beliefs actually explained. It's just a hostile cult group that worships a big fish. Why? Who knows.
To go further, who is the person behind the explorer's note? The use of a personal pronoun implies it's a specific person but who is it and why do their notes even matter?
It's an okay article. Weird writing style, but that seems to be a common theme across this website's original levels.
Many things seem unexplained, not because haha spooky, but because of a lack of explanation for them.
Novote - almost a downvote.

Bro I am fucked if I end up here. I can't swim, god save me
I don't mind the writing of the level and plus its one of the OG's so its valid.
(This the best I got I am not good at giving feedback lmao.)
how the freaking hell do you survive this level this aint a class 4 its a class 6. also entity 20 no longer exists
if you see this, this is a forum signature. if you want one, check out https://www.wikidot.com/account/settings#/forumsignature
Entity 20 is getting a rewrite, but I hope this level gets a rewrite with a class 5 or something higher
