Dear Wiki Staff (and everybody else anyway),
I understand that the IETS system is in development.
This is my theoretical proposal for an entity classification system. I did this one day while I was bored. Feel free to comment, critique, borrow ideas, use wholesale, or entirely disregard.
Concept: The Level Class system (which I'm actually personally not that fond of, per se) uses a rather quantitative numeric system. This entity classification system uses a more qualitative system.
Core Entity Classes:
Itemic – Predominantly non-biological object(s) exhibiting life-like qualities and/or behavior
Spectral – Predominantly non-matter manifestation exhibiting life-like qualities and/or behavior, despite lacking clearly defined physical form
Bactal – Endemic lifeforms of single-cellular nature
Floral – Endemic lifeform possessing predominantly plant-like or fungal qualities
Brutoid – endemic lifeform possessing predominantly animalistic qualities
- Anthro-brutoid – with animal intelligence, but predominantly human appearance
- Bruto-anthropoid – with human intelligence, but predominantly animal appearance
Anthropoid – endemic lifeform possessing predominantly humanoid qualities
Enigmatic – apex lifeforms with immeasurable cataclysmic/invigorative power, often with true form transcending human understanding. May fall into above categories; classification as Enigmatic requires case-by-case analysis.
Additional suffix qualifiers:
Hive: Exhibiting hive-mind behavior
Vir-A: Infectious, use biological humans as hosts
Vir-B: Infectious, cannot spread to biological humans
Mech: Partially or fully mechanical in form
Cyb: Existing only within electronic systems
Serf: Exhibits independent thinking, but remains subservient to a higher-order entity/other being
Rlr: Exists as a higher-order entity, having charge of hive/serf entities or other minions of some form
Neur: Presents a psychological or neurological hazard
Ubiq: Well-known, found across a large number of Backrooms levels
Civ: Forming self-governed structured, complex societies or civilizations (Rlr-Serf and Hive do not count)
Rad: Presents major radiological hazard
Ncr: Being dead; or having death as a prerequisite for existence
Rlt: Possessing significant reality-altering powers which are poorly understood, or which clearly violate the known laws of Physics
?: Tag added at the end of any above suffix to indicate evidence, but lack of certainty
Examples:
Entity 2 (Windows): Itemic-Class/Hiv?-Ncr?-Ubiq
Entity 3 (Smilers): Spectral-Class/Ubiq
Entity 18 (The Beast of Level 5): Anthropoid-Class/Neur-Rlr-Rlt
Entity 74 (Argos): Anthropoid-Class/Rlr
Entity 128(OMEGA): Spectral-Class/Cyb?
Entity 140 (Blanche): Anthropoid-Class/Rlt
Entity 189 (Macchina): Anthropoid-Class/Civ-Mech
Nostalgi Gaius: Enigmatic-Class/Neur-Rlt
(Consider that Enigmatic may fit better as an additional qualifier rather than a Core Class)
