Some important pieces to this story have not been written yet, but it should still be enjoyable! Gods of Griots gives it a is very important to this, but that story's relation to this one hasn't been revealed yet. Also, don't worry, this version of Overseer Kat is explicitly not canon to most other appearances of her.
I have no clue what this is about so I can neither upvote nor down vote this. Pls add a little more info soon. I especially wanna know why her body was an object in the first place. I read the attached story, and I still don't understand. Clearly the man the woman gave the arrowhead to is the same man who put it where kat's grave was. But why is that important? Why need to make a connection here? Now you really got me hooked, but I still don't get it.

If you don't like it, don't consider it canon. Birch even says that this is not getting rid of the 'actual' Kat, since this is another version of her. So unless you have other reasons for disliking this(like I do), I have to disagree with you on your downvote.

I'm personally stuck between giving this a no-vote of giving it a down-vote. I feel like there really isn't enough content or context. I have several questions that I feel you tried to purposely make me ask myself, when you didn't provide the answer. That is one thing that annoys me infinitely as a reader. Just thinking about it, I'm leaning towards that down-vote.
Also looking at the fact that you seem to be calling a dead overseer an object just feels insulting to me. Even if she weren't an Overseer, and we're talking about Joe Shmoe from down the street, it doesn't really change the fact they are still people, even if they are dead. If you wanted to say a dead body is an object, then you didn't necessarily have to pick out a particular overseer and make it to where she doesn't decompose so her dead body will be 'special'. You could have written a thing titled, 'Object xx-bodies', or written a phenomena where bodies don't decompose(but I suspect this was written before that category existed). I just still disagree about calling a dead person an object just because due to unnatural reasons they aren't decomposing.
Conclusively, I have decided to down-vote.
