(account deleted)Well for one, all you really need to do is come up with a tale, level, entity, etc that is meant to be funny. SPaG rules and whatnot are rather loose, but that doesn't mean that you'll still need a Staff Member's or Greenlighter's approval to get a joke article on-site. This can be done by making your article in a draft page on the Wiki's Sandbox and contacting a Staff Member/Greenlighter via Discord, the Forums, or by dm-ing one personally. That what I was trying to say, yes. You don't need intense crit, but you still need a greenlight.
Make a serious article add funny components. People here can't tell the difference cause their sense of humor is either immature itself, or the subconsciously treat everything as a joke in order to escape reality. Or both. They also think the don't have the skill or experience to write something like this as a serious article and copped out by making it a joke.

Just because people write seemingly serious articles with funny components as joke articles on here, doesn’t mean that it was because they were denied as a serious article. It usually just means that they just wanted to write it that way, unless stated otherwise
I'm willing to guess you have NOT been a member of this Wiki for enough time.
1 - As someone who has read SCP articles for a while, I guarantee you that people do that a lot. So much that the staff at the Foundation had to specify that rubbish mainlist articles couldn't be submitted as joke articles because they were rubbish, and joke articles are not supposed to be like that.
2 - It is VERY noticeable whe someone makes a bad joke article on purpose and when it's due to a lack of proper experience.

There also.. .exist serious articles with humor elements? It's not like we're prohibiting people from making jokey/casual stuff in the "serious" articles?

I was on my X Box on the wiki when I clicked the link. It takes a few minutes to the load the page, and I saw the title. I went no no no No NO NO! I clicked off the tab. It has thing where the page will go asleep after a few seconds of inactivity. It went to sleep, and I didn't have to listen to Rick Astley sing.
