So I googled “I80L2WV” and couldn’t really find anything. (Other than this article.)
What are the events that inspired this level?
Thanks in advance.
I did a little research, and I think I understand what the license plate means, at least the main part of it.
I think that it's a reference to the fact that there have been a number of unsolved disappearances on Interstate 80 in northern Nevada. Here's why I think that.
Level 50, aptly named "The Moribund Highway" is a seemingly endless desert highway.
This is a very accurate description of the Nevada part of I-80.
Notably, all vehicles have Nevada license plates
Mention of Nevada
I80L2WV
The first three letters definitely mean I-80 (Interstate 80). The last four I'm less sure of. The L2 could maybe mean Lovelace which is the town nearest to the disappearance, but I'm not sure.
it appears no vehicle models date past 2011, and some date back to 1978.
The first I-80 disappearance was in 1978 and the most recent were in 2011, as far as I can tell.
Lastly reported, around five miles in, the explorer found a highway exit, exit 205
Exit 205 is the place on I-80 where at least 2 of the disappearance took place
it has the exact same problems as practically half of the first hundred levels.

A decent idea, and a bit simple. Though there isn’t too much going for it I like it as it is since it has that sense of isolation, though some things could be expanded upon such as what happens if a wanderer tries to walk away from the road.
Other that that there are some tone issues that should be cleaned up. Not bad!
I really enjoy this one! It captures a very unique eerie vibe and I really dig the whole license plate hidden message thing. +1
