Basic overview
What is this?!?
Quite simple, this is a christmas exchange between different authors. Everyone can participate, and it's all about writing entries for others! It isn't a "secret santa" type thing, though it is a santa thing nontheless
What gifts can I make/give?
This year, we don't have the resources to do art just yet. For now, this year, we will be giving any form of on-site writing. Any tale, Level, Entity, Object, etc. (you get the deal) works for this contest!

Note these are not my preferences, simply some examples on what to put in your forum post.
What I want: Well, I would love any tales about my works. Any of them works, though if I could be nitpicky, I would prefer [Insert one of your works].

One important note to stress is please don't put "anything" under "What I want." You may consider yourself more open, but this actually makes it harder both on the writer, us, the organizers, and on you, the receiver, for the following reasons.
- We don't know exactly who to pair you up with, should a specific exchange occur.
- Your author will have no idea where to start, or what your preference is.
- In the end, you may end up unsatisfied with the result
Furthermore, if you have a high chance of not making it, consider not signing up. It makes it harder should an author not have the gift ready for exchanging at all, and we can't be having a ton of people ghosting the event. Should you sign up, then have sudden events come up, please shoot a PM to me or my assistant so we can tell our last-minute gifters. Keep in mind we don't want to do this, as it leaves less personalized gifts for the receiver, so please don't sign up unless you can make it for sure.
Scheduling
The schedule is quite simple, and is as follows
November 26th-November 30th: Gathering participants!
December 1st: Exchanging authors, done through Yellows magic~ begin gift-making!
December 1st-December 25th: Posting period.
December 25th: Event end!
December 23rd-24th: Last minute gifters get gifts made should no gift be made by then.
December 25th: Posting all last-minute gifter works! Note that we will not do this until the end of the day.
How to last-minute gift!
Last-minute gifting is one of the hardest parts of the exchange, and will occur should a gifter need to withdraw. Last-minute gifters may have from 25 days to just 3 days to make their gifts, and will likely have to do at least 2 last-minute gifts, should that many people become unavailable. It is noteworthy that these gifts will not be posted until near the end of December 25th, in the case the author comes back and makes an entry. It is most likely that you will have 3 days to make a personalized entry, making last-minute gifting very difficult.
For the reasons described above, the following guidelines for last minute gifting are enforced.
- If you are not confident in your last-minute gifting abilities, don't volunteer. Making quick entries should only be done by experienced authors, as they are difficult to get done.
- Be experienced in writing. We need last-minute gifters who are able to write works quickly of good quality, in order to ensure gifts make it.
- Be sure you will make the event in the first place. This part is the most stress-worthy. If you are not 100% positive you can make the full event, don't volunteer. We won't get mad if you get ran over or something, that's out of your control, but if you have an event planned which may interfere, don't volunteer
Please note that if I am not trustworthy in your abilities, I may deny you as a last-minute gifter. This part is one of the most important, so if I believe you aren't able to make it, I will deny you. Apologies, it has to be this way.
Final Notes:
- Please don't ghost the event! If you can't make it, please have the courtesy to message me (YellowISlol) first, I check my PM's daily.
- Keep it fun! Don't write something shitty, or else go against the writers wishes. This is meant to be fun and enjoyable!
- Though not required, please refrain from revealing who you got until after you post your work. It keeps it fun! Refrain from open chatter about it to, please~
