General Description

Sky Moray (Binomial: Gymnothorax Levitatus)¹ or Entity TH-5² has an appearance of the Laced moray that can be found in the Frontroom. The difference is that they can live and swim the air but can't live in the water as regular Moray eels can.

Biology

Entity TH-5 has the appearance of the Laced moray. With a purple-bluish long body and black spots all over their skin. They have teeth shaped like hook to lock preys and strong muscle without any scales. Their unique biological quirk is that they have many mucus glands which produce secretions that retain their moisture.

Entity TH-5's Respiratory system are more akin to that of an terrestrial animal than to aquatic animal. Which use organ to exchange oxygen to carbon dioxide in a manner similar to lungs. This and the fact they lack any gills mean they can not live underwater.

The stomach of Entity TH-5 is separated into two part which have two different functions. The first part will digest any food it has consumed and the second part is used to contain Instable liquid that Entity TH-5 will digest when it need to escape from dangers³

The mucus that exceeds from the skin of Entity TH-5 has an extremely bitter taste. Which will act as a natural defense mechanism and reduce the chances that they will be hunted by other Entities.

The ability to levitate and move in the air of Entity TH-5 happen because of the special structure within its body that act as air sac. This structure is composed of gas container with controlled pressure. Which they will uses to change their levitation level however they wanted. In addition to this, the body muscles on their side can be used for movement with rhythmic twist. Which will create constant resisting force allowing the creature to swim in the air as if it were water.

Reproduction

When in their mating season,⁴ the female Entity TH-5 will release pheromones in the air in order to attract males in nearby vicinity. If there are more than one instance of male Entity TH-5 responding to said pheromones, they will usually display aggressive behavior to one another and might even fight to win over the female.

After mating, the female will lay around 100-200 eggs in its nest.⁵ The male will then guard the nest while showing aggression to any humans or entities coming nearby. While the female finds food for the male and itself.⁶

After most hatchlings has finished hatching, the male will evict the female out of the nest. Even though this nest is the female's nest.⁷

Entity TH-5's hatchlings will have a clear, small body. They will gain the ability to move right after hatching and would use this ability immediately to swim out of the nest. They are a food source to many entities including human.⁸ They will eat any type of scraps and will took around 9-10 months to reach maturity.

Behavior

Usually, Entity TH-5 will live in solitude, with exception to the mating season. They often hides around dark areas or in any nook and cranny of different levels and will hunt bug type entities or smaller entities for food; such as Rainbowlings.

If there are hives of Entity TH-5 nearby each other, they will display aggressive behavior and fight for territory. The loser might get drive out of the area or in some case eaten by the winner.⁹

Although their appearance are terrifying, Entity TH-5 is a passive entities and will only attack wanderers during the mating season in order to protect its nest.¹⁰ Usually, when threatened Entity TH-5 will start to digest their Instable liquid in its second stomach in order to clip pass said area.

Taming

Wanderer can train and tame Entity TH-5 by building familiarity when they're still a hatchling or at a reproductive age. The tamed Entity TH-5 will display less aggression and won't respond to the female pheromones. The tamed female will also not release any pheromones during their mating season.

In nature, Entity TH-5 will have the average life span at around 15–20 years. However, tamed Entity TH-5 will have an increase in life span to around 25 years and above.¹¹

A tamed Entity TH-5 can help its owner in many ways such as carrying or moving small object, using its mouth to move said object, driving smaller entities away, reducing stress or loneliness of the wanderer, and also help warn about dangerous entities by swimming to the wanderer leg and displaying panicking behavior.

Hello wanderers, in this guide there will be information on how you can raise these eels to make them live a long and happy life. With only 5 steps required, that is:

1. Feeding:

Entity TH-5 required nutrition is only 350 gram per week. Feeding them too much will lead to them having more weight. Which can cause mobility and health problems.

2. Caring:

Tamed Entity TH-5 will have a complaisant behavior and will required attention from its owner. Swimming to hit the chest or face of the owner might mean that they wanted to play. Such interactions will help them to become more obedient and easier to train.

3. Punishing to the appropriate extent:

If they break your furniture or are creating nuisance to you, you should punish them to the appropriate extent in order for them to learn. For example; lightly hit them on their nose, because the nose is where their nerves gathered up the most. Yelling or hurting them will only make them scared and avoid being around you.

4. Learning:

Tamed Entity TH-5 are will be more curious compared to the wild ones. They are often interested in other wanderers or inventions human made. Letting them investigate said wanderers or inventions is a good thing. Still they have to be supervised in order for them to not get hurt by or do any damage to the wanderers or inventions.

5. Accessorizing:

Every years there are around 10-12 tamed Entity TH-5 that die by the hand of humans. Usually because it was confused with those in the wild. As such you should find accessories to mark that this instance of Entity TH-5 is tamed. For example a hat, clothing, or collar which can be traded at colonies in many different levels. However, we recommend that you used the accessories from the A.C.T. or varut cult shop. Because they used materials that are suitable for Entity TH-5 and the wrong materials might make them uncomfortable and become more stressful.

Control Method

Entity TH-5 previously has been classified as an endangered entity. Before it would be reduced in both risk and severity level, after a collaborative effort between the Association of Conspiring Traders and the Backrooms Conservation Group. Currently, the Entity TH-5 control method is to be use if the population has declined and the aforementioned groups will be in charge of the entities breeding. In term of population control, usually most groups wouldn't take any action, only Issuing hunting permits for Entity TH-5 to wanderers as the law allowed. Wanderers can hunt these entities for food or trade up to 1,500 kg./1 year when necessary without hunting in the mating season. Although they're not protected, the Backrooms Conservation Group recommended that you donate any Entity TH-5 hatchlings to be raise and protected by them.

If the Entity TH-5 population increase to the point that it threatened other entities within the food chain. The population reduction procedure will be use. The Association of Conspiring Traders will send their members to reduce their population and the permit will be deemed unnecessary at these time. After the population reduction, what is left of the entities will be collected or distributed to the wanderers in need and some would even be exported to other groups.

The instances that are conserved within levels or colonies is classified as the instance that can't be hunted or in some cases, tamed. Most of these will be in the care of the Backrooms Conservation Group and any violation to the conservation procedures might result in punishment. Cooking method

The method and type of food wanderers can transform it into varies greatly such as steaming, roasting, frying, etc. The most perfered method by wanderers is to wash the mucus off with water to reduce the bitter taste, before fraying it into pieces and remove the organs out. The important step is to remove the stomach part that contains Instable liquid. Wanderers can fray as much flesh as they'd like to eat, then roasting it over fires. Entity TH-5 flesh will cook fast, as seen by the flesh turning yellow in hue, as such turning to be completely edible. The nutritional value per one serving without any seasoning has been calculated by the Association of Conspiring Traders:

Discovery

1994 CE: Is the first year that Entity TH-5 was discovered. At the time nonody was paying much attention to them, except when the Level TH-1 colony was founded which the local Entity TH-5 population have to be removed.

1995-1996 CE: Is the period when food were scarced. Forcing wanderers to find new ways to survive and Entity TH-5 is also one of them. Causing its population to drop to near extinction in the late 1996.

1997 CE: The Backrooms Conservation Group have classified them as nearly extinct entities.

2001 CE: In the middle of that year, Entity TH-5 have been classified as regular entities. And later in the year the Backrooms Conservation Group and the Association of Conspiring Traders have set up rules about hunting them economically:¹³

1. Only hunt with permits.

2. The amount one can hunt is limited to at 2,500 kg./year to support their repopulation.

3. Do not hunt any in mating season.

4. Do not hunt the ones that are undersized as stated by law. (The size one can hunt depends on the year)

5. Do not hunt them in a protected levels.

2007 CE: After the discovery of level TH-10.1¹⁴ there have been Entity TH-5 farm for the sole purpose of consumption.¹⁵

2008 CE: The hunting amount is changed from 2,500 kg./year to 1,500 kg./year.¹⁶

2012 CE: Entity TH-5 has been classified as economic entities.

Description:

Entity TH-1 appears as hand-shaped dents on various surfaces and is usually found in groups. When alone, it appears as only a single pair of hands. They can appear on almost any surface but will not be below shoulder height.

Behaviour:

Handprints will move by fading and reappearing in the vicinity. They mostly move to dark areas to capture their prey easier. They will wait for a humanoid entity to touch them before engulfing them into their surface. If successful, they will multiply and form into larger swarms.

Handprints are not particularly dangerous entities. They do not chase and solely move to suitable surfaces¹ using instinct. They do not engulf inorganic material, and wearing gloves can prevent accidents involving them, which makes them a low-risk entity.

However, Handprints cannot be killed. Destruction of the wall does not affect them. They will move to the floor and then move back to their normal spot.

Biology:

As mentioned above, Entity TH-1 are the shallow dents on various surfaces, shaped like an adult human hand. The surface of these entities have a property similar to quicksand, making it difficult to pull out once in contact. Observations indicate that one Handprint will only have a single pair of hands, and this pair cannot be separated very far from each other.

Beyond this information, the biology of Entity TH-1 is not well known.

Description:

One of the images of Level TH-3

Level TH-3 appears to be a large data center that extends for hundreds of meters. Due to insufficient power, most of the electrical systems within the level are nonfunctional, leaving the level in darkness.

Level TH-3 is crowded with electronic devices, which consist of different types of storage devices, mounted on racks arranged in a maze. Wanderers often settle inside the level rather than are attempting to exit, as the level's complex layout makes wanderers get lost and unable to find the exit.

The internal resources serve as a major contributor to the economy. Electronic components within the level have immense value outside. The wires can be stripped and sold in form of copper, and their quantity seems nearly infinite—like a coal mine waiting for drilling.

But the price for these resources is also high. Due to excessive resource drilling, many areas of the level have damaged. Electricity routed to the racks frequently causes shocks and short circuits, causing fires and toxic smoke as a result.

In contrast to the vast amount of electronic resources available, food and water are scarce within the level. Half-full water bottles and packaged food scattered throughout the level, but most of them are close to spoiling, causing many bases here to often trade food.

The temperature of Level TH-3 is sweltering, generally ranging from 30°C to 35°C. Wanderers often cultivate Leafless Ices as a source of food and water, and for regulate the temperature to something more habitable. Sometimes, when left unattended, these entities will grow until they become massive ice forests.

Addendum: In 2015, a violent clash broke out between the Pineland Colony and the Association of Conspiring Traders. Firesalt and various weapons of mass destruction were used, multiplying the already severe damage within the level. If such conflicts were to continue, it would be difficult to predict how much longer the level could endure.

Update 12/5/2016: Further studies have shown that Level TH-3 was one of the few birthplaces of Rainbowling, entities that have long served as the light for the Backrooms settlers. The current state of the level, along with drastically-reduced population of this entity suggests that their birthplace on Level TH-3 has been irreparably destroyed.

Bases, Outposts, and Communities

B.C.G. - Base Archive (Backrooms Conservation Group)

• One of their earliest missions was archiving data of various entities to provide public knowledge. This base was therefore established to serve as a database capable of supporting that mission.
• The base has around 100 members. Their duty is recording information and updating on new findings. They also have measures to monitor for dangers.
• Received abundant assistance from the Association of Conspiring Traders in terms of supplies, security, personnel, costs, etc.
• Open to trading food supplies.
• Offers shelter and assistance to passing wanderers.

A.C.T. - Marigold's Storehouse (Association of Conspiring Traders)

• An Association of Conspiring Traders's storehouse, intended to harvest resources from Level TH-3 before exporting to other group’s colonies. The base uses Rainbowlings in jars as a light source due to resource and time constraints.
• Some of the resources may be held here for future trading between groups or wanderers.
• There are around 60 members, and they will rotate shifts with other outposts.
• Only open to trading weapons and long-lasting food supplies. The items that are already abundant in their stock are not accepted.
• Frequently raided by the Pineland Colony, though most raids are successfully repelled.

P.L.C. - Camp Ivy (Pineland Colony)

• A colony of the Pineland Colony with unknown coordinates.
• The number of members is unknown, but they are all bandits.
• Hostile and not open to trade.
• Believed to have been established to harvest resources.
• Frequently raided the Marigold's Storehouse.

Overall Appearance

A Frozen Fruit in the B.C.G.'s research lab.

Object TH-3 is called "Frozen Fruits" due to their appearance resembling a snowball.

This object is a product of Entity TH-12 "Leafless Ice", which bears fruit every month. This object appears as a round, white sphere with, a shell encasing inner flesh. The shell of Frozen Fruits has a soft and slightly rough texture, resembling snow that has been moulded into a ball, yet they retain their form and covering like most types of fruit. The interior is composed of small ice fragments that follow the contour of shell.¹ The inside of the shell consists of wrapped Frozen Fruits' flesh, which is moist and slightly thick. Inside the flesh is the nectar of Leafless Ice, and their sweetness surpasses that of the entity’s sap, lacking any blandness, and their taste is similar to rambutan.

Frozen Fruit also emits cold within a temperature range of 0-10 °C, similar to Leafless Ice. However, unlike their sources, this object can naturally 'melt' depending on the surrounding heat, typically taking 2-3 days to completely melt. This process doesn't cause any changes to the nectar in the object.

Overall Property

As mentioned above, Frozen Fruits have a sweet taste and are safe for consumption. Sugar content of Object TH-3 is moderate and provides the same nutritional value as half a bottle of Almond Water. The object's cold temperatures can help reduce temporary fatigue, making them become a common object for wanderers to carry during their travels.

However, sudden consumption in large quantities can cause a spike in the consumer’s blood sugar levels and temporary brain freeze.

Trading

Many Frozen Fruits were harvested by the Association of Conspiring Traders.

Since most instances of Object TH-3 grow on Leafless Ice monthly,² along with the strict entity control method, the monthly quantity of Frozen Fruits is limited.³ Trade of this object is possible, whether for use as a supply for survival or in terms of style, such as Frozen Fruits as decorations in desserts. Exchanges are managed by the Association of Conspiring Traders, though the regulations are not particularly strict, allowing normal wanderers to freely trade the object. However, to ensure fairness and prevent price fraud, the association recommends that produce from the Leafless Ice be traded within levels that has the association's colonies, such as Level TH-10.1, which have more stable trade. For example, two Frozen Fruits can be exchanged for one full bottle of Almond Water.

Discovery

Object TH-3 was discovered at the same time as Leafless Ice. They were originally thought just snowballs along the trunk of Leafless Ice, which were then they were seen as just ice pillars. Until the establishment of the Backrooms Conservation Group and the renewed research of Cluster TH, Frozen Fruits were discovered alongside the discovery of the entity.

General Appearance

Entity TH-12 is called "Leafless Ice." It is a type of entity classified under flora. They have an appearance resembling an inverted icicle, and they are usually found clustered together.

Although they cannot be fully called plants¹ due to the simple structure of Entity TH-12, which has no leaves, branches, or roots. They are composed of a substance with aqueous molecules that spiral upward from the base in a helix shape before solidifying into ice. At the tip, one or two sharp spines protrude. The surface of Leafless Ice is so transparent that it can be seen through, with condensation droplets forming due to the cold surrounding temperature, clinging to its stalks.

Biology

The stem has an outer layer made of a spiral shell of ice, and inside is a semi-solid core² made of the same substance before it solidifies. A portion of the stem extends beneath the surface where it grows, expanding downward at the same rate as it grows upward. Through this method, Leafless Ice are capable of growing on nearly any material, such as rock, soil, sand, and even artificial substances like concrete.

Leafless Ice has the property of absorbing heat and releasing cold temperatures ranging from 0 to -5°C in return. They often grow in environments with high heat, leading to the assumption that they absorb nutrients through this process. This discovery was initially overlooked until an uncontrolled cultivation outbreak occurred, turning Entity TH-12 into a growing threat.³

The water-like substance that makes up Entity TH-12 has a faintly sweet taste. While this substance is not harmful for consumption, it contains little nutritional value.⁴ In contrast, its produce is quite different. Entity TH-12 has the ability to bear fruit, known as "Frozen Fruits", which possesses a more intense sweetness than the stem and offers significantly greater nutritional value. As a result, Leafless Ice are cultivated for their fruit by various groups. For further details, refer to the Control Method.

Reproduction

Leafless Ice relies on other living beings to spread the seeds of their Frozen Fruits, whether through humans or via certain phenomena in the Backrooms that cause their seeds to spread in some form. As for the seeding method, once the fruit is thrown to the ground or left to melt somewhere,⁵ the seed will slowly begin to grow on its own. This entity's growth rate is considered rapid; the seed takes only two weeks to fully develop into a complete Entity TH-12.

As for fruiting, it takes only one month. Around 10–15 fruits gradually appear along the stem of Entity TH-12. It’s assumed that the Leafless Ice channels sweetness into its fruiting areas while concentrating cold in those regions. Apart from humans, most entities show little interest in the fruits.

Behaviour

Leafless Ice remains still and passive, doing nothing except growing and bearing fruit periodically. They are virtually harmless to anything around them; more often, they are acted upon by other lifeforms. Entity TH-12 shows no particular traits that would classify it as dangerous—except when planted densely in crowded clusters.

Update 01/04/2017: Interestingly, when Signalweed is in close proximity to a Leafless Ice, Signalweed will shift its roots toward the entity, though without displaying any aggressive behavior. Further study has shown that Signalweed absorbs nutrients from the Leafless Ice, while also assisting its propagation, by shaking and knocking Frozen Fruits away from the stem using controlled root movement. It is unclear when this interaction between the two entities began, but it is considered a significant discovery regarding the ecosystem of Cluster TH of the Backrooms.

Control Method

Originally, Entity TH-12 did not require control. However, Leafless Ice was secretly cultivated within habitable levels, and their strain was modified to the point of uncontrolled propagation. As a result, levels once suitable for habitation have since undergone environmental changes:

"Erosion" Incident

Level TH-38 was once among the most ecologically advanced and densely colonized levels. That changed when Frozen Fruits was introduced by travelers and local groups, including the Association of Conspiring Traders, for the purpose of cultivating Leafless Ice farms, driven by increasing demand for Frozen Fruits and growing transport difficulties at the time.

There had been repeated criticism and even public votes to ban the practice by local residents, but these warnings were ignored. Unregulated cultivation and uncontrolled genetic modification of Leafless Ice across various areas of the level caused temperatures to fall below freezing. Gradually, Level TH-38 became frozen over and was environmentally transformed.

Following this incident, raids were conducted to halt the cultivation of Leafless Ice across multiple levels, some of which were already nearing the same frozen state as Level TH-38. The Backrooms Conservation Group, which had previously managed the situation, established the following joint measures with the Association of Conspiring Traders to regulate all Leafless Ice farming operations:

• Must submit a formal request for entity cultivation approval.
• Planting Leafless Ice without authorization is strictly forbidden
• Don't throw or scatter Frozen Fruit found within Level TH-38.
• Report to major groups immediately upon sighting large numbers of Leafless Ice.

Discovery

Entity TH-12 was discovered during the early years of exploration in Cluster TH. At first, it was mistaken for a strange structure that produced snowballs⁶. It wasn’t until the formation of the Backrooms Conservation Group and the renewed study of the Cluster TH that Leafless Ice was properly identified and researched.

General Appearance

Entity TH-7 also known as Signalweed, is an entity that resembles a telecommunications macrocell tower, commonly seen throughout the Frontrooms.

Biology

Signalweed’s external structure is primarily composed of chitin. A complex polysaccharide molecule commonly found in the exoskeletons of insects and crustaceans. Their chitin structure is unusually dense and arranged, granting the outer shell a strength comparable to metal while remaining lighter than concrete or typical steel. Internally, Signalweed possesses organs that closely resemble those of insects.

Signalweed is capable of emitting high-frequency wireless signals within a radius of approximately 250 meters. These signals closely resemble Wi-Fi waves¹ used by humans, allowing standard electronic devices to detect them. This ability is primarily used to lure human victims to them. However, in the absence of nearby humans, the entity will emit low-frequency electromagnetic waves, which can distort the surrounding magnetic field within a 500 meter radius. This interference is strong enough to disrupt and disable nearby Wi-Fi signals.

From the base of Signalweed are organs resembling copper wires,² spreading underground in all directions, covering the surrounding area within a 250 meter radius. These organs do not yet have an official name, but most wanderers commonly refer to them as "roots" due to their spread resembling plant roots. These roots are highly conductive and can generate enough electric potential to kill a human or other entities. They are analyzed to function similarly to mechanisms found in certain marine animals, such as electric eels.

Reproduction

When Signalweed receives sufficient nutrients, it begins to form a new organ from its base, referred to as a "reproductive root". This type of root is significantly larger and thicker than the normal ones, featuring multiple layers of reinforced chitin and the ability to move through soil or other surface materials such as concrete.³ The reproductive root slowly extends outward in a specific direction from the entity at an extremely slow pace, sometimes taking weeks or even months to move just a few meters, as it searches for a suitable location to plant a seed. Once a suitable area is found,⁴ the root releases a single seed into the soil. Afterward, the root begins to decompose, a process that takes about 24 hours. The seed itself is spherical, about 25 centimeters in diameter, with a chitin shell and an inner composition made of insect-derived proteins. The seed requires approximately 6–7 months to absorb nutrients from the soil before growing into a fully developed Signalweed.

Behaviour

Signalweed are most commonly found in open, flat areas such as lowlands, wide plains, or overgrown fields. They use their wireless signal emission ability to lure humans as food. Studies of the emitted frequencies have revealed evidence suggesting that Signalweed are capable of communicating with one another via wireless signals. This communication is likely used for coordinating hunts and may also play a role in regulating reproduction or establishing territorial boundaries. However, the structure of these signals remains undeciphered at present.

Predation

As mentioned above, when a human is nearby, Signalweed emits wireless signals. If the wanderer has an electronic device that is powered on, the device will detect and be able to connect to the entity's signal.⁵ This causes unsuspecting wanderers to unknowingly head toward the Signalweed, hoping to make use of the signal source. Once the victim comes within a certain range, the roots beneath the surface in the area where the entity is located will emerge and strike toward the victim. Since these roots are highly conductive, the victim usually dies from electrocution rather than from physical harm caused by the roots themselves. After the victim has died, the entity uses its roots to grab the body and pull it back underground. What happens to the body afterward is unknown, but it is assumed that this entity consumes living beings in a way similar to how plants absorb nutrients.⁶ It has also been observed that other Signalweed will attempt to lure humans into their territory as well, increasing the chances of capturing prey.

Control Method

A warning sign commonly found in areas heavily populated by Signalweed. These signs were created by Backrooms Conservation Group.

In cases where Signalweed are found near colonies or areas with large human populations, the Association of Conspiring Traders is responsible for containing and eliminating them. The usual methods employed include chainsaws or Firesalt. After elimination, the chitin-based outer structure of the Signalweed is separated from the corpse and traded. As previously mentioned, their chitin is as strong as metal but significantly lighter. Due to the difficulty and danger involved in harvesting it, the material is considered highly valuable and is commonly used for:

• Lightweight yet durable armor.

• Weapons such as swords, spears, and other military equipment.

• Construction of protective walls around colonies.

Other parts of Signalweed such as the roots, internal tissues, and secondary structures, are left to decompose naturally, enriching the surrounding soil. However, in areas where Signalweed are too numerous to control or eliminate, the region will be quarantined and marked with warning signs to deter travelers from entering.⁷

Discovery

Entity TH-7 was discovered around 2005 by a traveler who fell victim to it while communicating with a friend. The victim’s friend later reported the incident to the Backrooms Conservation Group in Level TH-7, which ultimately led to the identification of this entity. Do's and Don'ts

Do

• If you encounter a signal tower structure, you should keep your distance. If the signal in your area becomes unstable or inexplicably disappears, it may be caused by a Signalweed.
• If you must use a signal from the entity, maintain a safe distance and access it remotely. Although signal quality may be reduced, this is for your own safety.
• Report sightings of Signalweed to the Backrooms Conservation Group or other relevant groups such as the Association of Conspiring Traders for further coordination.

Don't

• Approach the Signalweed.
• Attempt to eliminate them by yourself.
• Allow yourself to remain within the area of Signalweed for an extended period, even if you are not within its attack range, may cause the entity to emit another wireless signal over a wider radius, which could become a problem for you in the future.⁸

Entity TH-4 flying in an unknown level

Description:

Entity TH-4 or Rainbowlings are a type of small creatures resembling poultry. They has dim colors and may be one of the entities that wanderers can commonly encounter in Cluster TH.

Behaviour

Entity TH-4 is peaceful in nature. They prefer to stay in flocks and can often be seen clustering together on walls and ceilings, or flying through various levels in Cluster TH. However, when a Rainbowling feels frightened or startled, it emits a brighter light from its body, which is believed to be a self-defense mechanism before it flies away. The sensory system of this entity is somewhat similar to that of butterflies and insects like flies. Additionally, Rainbowlings are known to be creatures that enjoy both light and darkness, but they react negatively to all forms of liquid substances, such as Almond Water. They will instinctively avoid damp or wet areas as much as possible, making it a notable discovery that Rainbowlings prefer dry environments.

Biology

Rainbowlings, based on observation, resemble small poultry-like creatures. They are capable of emitting a seven-color spectrum of light: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The light produced by the entity maintains a constant brightness level, illuminating only itself and remaining steady over time. The dispersion of this light is low and does not affect objects from a distance, appearing more like a cluster of faint glows. However, when in a state of fear or distress, the light intensifies, resembling a flashlight effect,¹ and would be more brightened if Rainbowlings were in a group.

The appearance of the entity remains unclear, except that when they are attached to objects or not making any movements, they resemble sheets with a twisted rainbow-like shape. When floating, they resemble a flapping motion, but appear more like lights drifting around, leaving trails of light before fading away shortly afterward. However, Entity TH-4 'have' physical appearance, but for whatever reason, cannot be seen, as if being invisible. According to research by the Backrooms Conservation Group during one of their discovery, one of the research member had wrote down the results as follows:

With unique light emitting property of Entity TH-4, they can be used for beneficial purpose, such as: acting as a source of light in replacement for standard flashlight, or other man-made ways to keep Rainbowlings actively triggered. For them to illustrate out light. One of the most used examples are: Keeping the entity inside a jar that has been modified into a lantern.

Do's and Don'ts:

Do:

• Leave them be.
• Avoid eliminating if unnecessary.
• View them as a beauty of Cluster TH nature.

Don't:

• Beat or step on them
• Make them frightened in a group, which can result in you having a temporary blind vision.
